Just when you think it's genuine advice
I've seen that most folks promoting Upraised have a very clever & subtle way of doing it instead of going bold like a lot of CS/DS didi, bhaiyyas promoting websites/courses out there.
Some upraised lady had reached out to me few months ago on LinkedIn for a “commercial engagement”.
When I asked about the details, she said I’d have to try out their test and if I like it, I’d have to post about it (their team would help me write) from my LinkedIn account and they would pay me per post.
I understood what that meant and told her I don’t want to engage in paid posts.
I guess this is what it would have looked like if I had agreed to do it 😅

They reached out to me as well, I denied them too. Apparently they look for people who are "sort-of" influencers in the product space and approach based on the number of followers (typical marketing tactics). I would much rather not have any ancillary income than promote something that rips people off their money. Sadly, most people do not think of ethics and promote in return for the money, I have seen so many "respected" voices do this same post for them.
