+1, most of their personal expenses are routed as company expenses. This salary is on top of it. Net effective compensation is very high.

Wow! Funding winter, layoffs all over the place, no hikes, all blames always on the employees and here are at least few founders who took hikes?

This post is meant to trigger emotions. Before complaining about layoffs and drop in salaries, pl do remember that for every successful startup there are probably 10 startups that failed. The remuneration here they take is the reward for the risk they took years back.
