MNIT Jaipur metallurgy engineering

My brother is graduated this year and wants to pursue Computer Science as a career option. He will focus on coding and will want a placement in IT industry. But according to his rank he is expecting to get metallurgy engineering in MNIT Jaipur. He is getting Electronics/ CSE in colleges like Jamia which rank much lower. While the college does matter, I want to know the placement opportunities in such NITs for a student from a different branch.
