Manager not satisfied with work

For the past few days, my manager isn't involving me in any major work. I send my work, but he doesn't review it and leaves it seen zoned.

He's been giving negative feedback as well. What should I do, I have just graduated this year and am afraid that I might not do well going ahead too. I'm working as an APM.

He even remarked that he wouldn't have hired a candidate, had he solved the problem the way I did.

Could anyone suggest what to do? I'm feeling very tensed.

Start looking for a new job, sooner or later he will send you in a pip and also you might end up losing your job. It's not about you've just graduated or have spent 5 years working. Unfortunately this is a very harsh truth and we all are aware of this, the company only wants to make money no one cares about you or me. So better just fake it, as if you're doing so much effort and ask him to do it in a better way. Take advise from your seniors in the company and regularly take their help.

Also start preparing for interviews, update your resume and start reaching out to people and applying for jobs

Better not to be late than sorry.

Two approaches:

  1. Start looking for a new job asap. Reach out to references, LinkedIn etc etc
  2. Have a dialogue with your manager. Ask him about gaps in performance (with examples) and how can those be plugged. Then use the feedback to improve
