Arranged marriage advice
What’s one advice you’d give to someone who’s starting the arranged marriage process?
What are some points to take care of when getting married through an arranged marriage setup?
Check if vibe matches! Here vibe means taste, mentality, etc. After talking almost 6 girls, I felt the vibes didn’t match. Some were too bold like straight away telling they had 3 boyfriends, some were too shy like can’t even meet in a cafe without parents permission. I married the one not based on looks, caste or parents preference. I married the one whom my vibes matched. My father was somewhat against the girl I married. After marrying, we fought a lot. Now after 2 years, it all seems totally worth it. Both of our parents are happy, my parents gets angry when I don’t help her in cooking. That the kind of bond we have developed. Doing same dank things together, teasing each other. It’s all worth it when your vibes match. And as Anupam Mittal said once, “shaadi usse karo jo baatein bhot accha karti ho, cuz saadhi ke kuch saal baad baatein chhod ke kuch aur nai hoga.” That is very true and when you have a caring and understanding partner, life becomes very easy!
Did you not consider looks at all!?
No I considered! What I meant is, I didn’t just fall for those girls with hour glass figure, short dresses and lot of makeup on the face. My girl had lot of acne on the face while we married which generally we men don’t like.
Most important thing is to keep things between the couple only. Do not involve either parents until it is not working out no matter how serious the problem is. Husband & wife will forgive each other at some point but their relationship with in-laws would deteriorate for ever. Sit, talk and resolve between 2 people only.
My question was about what points to check before getting married from a men's perspective.
Your answer seems to be for issues after marriage. Anyhow thanks for the response.
Marriage is a huge mistake. Once you marry you will have to solve 50,000 extra problems which you don't need at all. All your salary would be gone.
@PassionateSkylight Hahahaha, what happened with your marriage?
