Media.Net postponed joining dates for freshers from july 2024 to jaunuary 2025.

media.net (DirectI group) has postponed the joining of product managers hired from campus placements of top BSchools of India, IIM ABCL ISB XLRI etc. No specific timeline has been provided, HR said “joining is postponed”, that’s it. Insider news is that layoffs are happening at media.net and employees haven’t been given any appraisals this year. 2023 grad. Was selected in a company during on campus placement but they have delayed joining till 2024 stating business requirements and a dearth of projects. Came to know that they have again come for campus placements to hire 2024 grads from my college. What is this recruitment strategy? Will I get joining date ever?

I , got placed in Nference during campus placements. Today morning I got a mail saying that the joining date has been moved to December from july considering the current market conditions. Pretty huge bummer but it is what it is. Anyone in Nference , has any info on the matter?

Bharti airtel delay the fresher joining date. It's joining was at mid June to mid July but now it is 30 October and most fresher location is it's new office in pune. If anyone know what the reason behind this pls share your thought #airtel

Hi everyone! I am a fresher and had a full time offer from Byju's and I had joining on 16th June which got deferred to 2nd August. Today I got another mail and it is further deferred to January 2024. I don't have any other offer right now and I tried texting HRs on LinkedIn but no response. I used to be an active CP coder in college days. Any referral help/advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Is it true that fynd is currently piping employees and also delaying new grads onboarding?

They have deferred the dates to God knows which date by estimating it to the last quarter of the year . The offer letter was sent the previous year a day after the interviews after 1 year they are letting us know about the date being deferred . They should have informed us earlier now there's no chance to sit back in placements.

I was graduated in August of '22. I was placed in 3 companies during the campus placement drive, out of which one is an MNC and the other two are, let's say pretty famous in India. But due to bad decision making and other factors I decided to go with the MNC. It's been a while now yet there is no information from the company. The last mail I received was in the month of November, which is why I am afraid now. Are there any internships or job openings I can apply for? I'm an non IT candidate with decent skills in programming. Are there any courses I can do meanwhile? Thanks in advance.

Heard from a junior today that one of the consulting firms is delaying their joining from August to January This is in line with what most other firms have done as well (MBB). I saw the email as well, and the lack of any empathy was alarming. It literally said "We are delaying your joining from to Jan because of changes in training plan" and that we feel this is in your best interests. I get that business would be tough, there are probably not as many cases right now, and hence they are doing this. A) It is screwed up to break commitments for your joining date, just because you don't see as much demand around the period. These students are literally pumped about their first job, and to start off like this is just sad B) At least if you are doing the above, have the courtesy to explain the proper financial reason behind it Overall, really sad to see what graduates this year are having to go through, it's just random.
