Moneyview OTP scam

For some reason this app (loan provider) does not seem to have implemented rate limiting on OTP requests. I have received 10+ otps in the last hour on my number. Their customer care is unresponsive. While the chances are still low - a scammer could just brute force an OTP match at some sufficient scale of phone numbers and requests - to get a loan sanctioned. Any ideas on how to stop this 🥵

Write a mail to them saying you are receiving OTPs and you never applied so that you have written proof when a scammer scam them (and you) as well. May help in future for filing a fraud case with police.

Did this. Their reply was that they cannot proceed since I am emailing from an email ID that is not registered with them. I do not use or intend to use the app - and am blocked from otp guessing attempts on my number 🤦 The company is valued at 900mn usd🤐

Follow up and say that you can call them using the allegedly registered mobile number. Also I think this can be a tactic to show higher numbers to investors by the company itself.

I have been getting calls from random phone numbers since morning. When i pick up they say that I called them. I believe my mobile number is spoofed. Can someone suggest what can i do in this case? Recently been getting a call saying my Mobikwick account is compromised and asking to confirm it’s not be by sharing otp I work in tech , I have seen my share of spam calls but this is too natural and too good as true caller when I viewed its coming with a green tick ( obviously some jugaad they did ) . Firebase OTP Help!

I created a firebase app that uses phone authentication. It works fine for the dummy registered phone number. For other numbers, the service is unreliable with a 10% otp send success rate. Has anyone faced this before, and solved it? Please do share any other third party otp service you're aware of that's cheaper than twilio. Thanks!

Usually many apps can access our fin data with just our pancard ryt. Ind money didnt even ask for my pancard. Just from my number they gave everything. My pancard details, upi ids. Credit cards, bank account etc. how do they work. If i create an app, apply for some licence will i be able to get all this information? Will they check security of the database etc before giving licence..

INDmoney review?

My friend recommended to use IndMoney app. I have been using Kite and Nuvama from the longest time and I just fell in love with INDmoney’s Dashboard view giving me visibility on all my investments till date. That’s the good part but the MOST IRRITATING bit to login by OTP every 5mins. Is it a bug on iOS or the app is designed this way?
