It's a pointless idea imo, one that is at least 200 years too late. Will create needless complexities.
All these are ideas of the Industrial Age where people worked from 9 to 6 on the shop floor. No work carried back home because the lathe didn't fit in a briefcase.
Now the world has democratised time and geography - and by that measure the access to work.
If you read that thread it has harebrained ideas - 2 timezones and a third one for the railways.
People should instead work on figuring out how Uber drivers bend time - by being 3 mins away and arriving at your door step in 21 mins.

Assam has had Chaibagan time forever. It is IST + 1 and helps them deal with the early sunrise and work in the fields accordingly.

Not sure about multiple timezones, but some reputed govt funded institution did a research to prove shifting India time zone to gmt +05:00 instead of current +05:30 will be beneficial for all, on multiple factors.
It'll make calculations easy - Dubai +1, Singapore -3, etc.
Modiji should invade Pakistan for this reason only - laying claim to UTC + 5.
