Smallcase is shit. Just making people fool, more than the profit you end up paying fees to the so called money manager/funds manager.

Smallcase has major faults, biggest of it being that your return will not be the same as the smallcase return, ever. In switching stocks you will never get the buying price the smallcase uses for calculation(which are anyways complicated). Plus it is not a 100% to 100% switch due to sebi rules and 20% of the stock you will buy the next day. To top it all you will pay short term tax on all the switching. Mutual funds are a great product(in direct code) mainly due to the taxation ease and due to the fact in a direct code growth option your dividends are also getting reinvested. Tax index funds if you dont want to pay a fund manager to attempt to beat the index
Is now a good time to invest in mutual fund as lumpsum ? Since prices just increased. Also any recommendations for funds ?
SIP beats Lumpsums in most scenarios. There's a good video by LLA on the same. Saw a post by Radhika Gupta few days back as well, where she shared her mutual fund allocation strategy. Since SIPs average out your investments, you can start investment now as well when market is in bull run
Note: not a financial advice or recommendation, use your own research and brain

As others have suggested, don't even look at smallcases they are more like a scam and are misleading.
MFs or ETFs(for index) are the way to go.
