Mutual fund review

I started investing last year in a few mutual funds after cancelling all my lic. I got term insurance too. What's the best way to review the performance of my mutual funds? I tried talking to some finance advisors but they want me to terminate all my direct mutual funds and start with them. Not sure what is the best way forward?

Can someone help with some pointers on the basis of which i can decide if they are providing properly or not?
