Need Advice - SDE with No Coding Job

Currently an intern for a XYZ company, pretty good, compensation is pretty good, I'm an SDE intern, the team which im in is platform engineering, should I switch the role which has something more based on the heavy coding side? I don't see myself beyond 5 years here, would this team matter when it comes while making a switch?

I am SDE and I joined a company 2.5 months back. I don't like the work that I am doing and the company is far from being profitable+ a huge cash burn + management is not good. I interviewed with some other company and they have offered me a role. On paper it's an upgraded role but they are offering the exact salary as the current one + some esops. Would you accept the offer if you were in my place? Some general info: 1. Hate the work I am doing currently, the knowledge I get here can't be used in other companies. 2. Work is slow, not learning anything new 3. New company seems good from outside till now, have to validate with ex-employees 4. New company has Hybrid work, current is WFO 5. Have another offer which is paying a bit more than the 'new company' but don't want to join it, These guys are not matching the offer sadly

Been working with a pre series A level startup for about 3 years being my first job. Paid about 20-25lpa for a full stack role. Engineering + product team is still single digit strength as we are not pureplay tech company. Had a great learning because of a good manager and 0-1 kind of work we did but I am starting to feel stagnated because of following reasons 1. We don't have anything like SDE1, 2 etc because there are very few devs. 1 manager and everyone else is an SDE. The company doesn't intend to hire more for at least an year.. so i won't see any title level promotion or any role that feels senior despite being around for a while 2. Salary. Want to know if I am behind the standard pay because i belong to tier 1.5ish college. Big tech seems to pay more for 3yrs workex as usually people become sde2 by then

I'm working in a very early stage startup as SDE 1. There are strict deadlines ( that is still okay) but I feel like the engineering is being compromised upon for those. Should I switch since it has only been some months since I started working

Feeling stagnant in my tech support job having 6.5 years of experience, currently working in Bosch. Contemplating resigning to pursue software development engineering roles after upskilling myself. Working as an SDE2 right now. Got promoted recently. Motivation to work is at an all-time low. Feels like I am stuck in a rat race. Is this normal? I see senior engineers in my team and frankly, I don't want to end up like them in the next few years. Immense respect for their skills and what they bring to the table, but I don't see myself doing that. I have a few options to consider: Bucket 1 Keep grinding at my current role Decent growth (career and money) Stable life, certainity Low Risk, Moderate Reward Bucket 2 Coast at current role Look for a switch (preferably outside India) Make a lot of money Basically, follow this and keep climbing the ladder Boring AF Bucket 1 and Bucket 2 can probably be merged, keeping them separate as it is very different in reality. Bucket 3 (The Interesting Bucket) Coast at current role Build micro-SaaS solutions, contribute to open source, build problem solving attitude Startup someday Could result in slow growth, might end up wasting a few years. The real constraint? I have to support a family. All expenses. We have no other income source at this point. Taking any risk with income is a big deal for me. Just ranting here. I am not expecting a clear pick. Just looking for more opinions on what I am thinking, and maybe understand if I am overthinking.

Graduated in 2021 have 2 yoe working in a b2b unicorn as sde-1, earning 20lpa fixed no esops. I made one switch last year. But now I realised I was learning more in my previous product company. Here most of the work is boring like writing repeated sql queries minor bug fixes and very little coding. Is 20lpa low as per industry standards for 2 yoe in bengaluru ?

Hey, I am SDE with 2YOE getting 10LPA. Here I could see many folks posting their CCTC as 30LPA, 35LPA or even beyond for 2-3years exp. How is it possible? What you guys work with? How many of you guys have such high CTCs? Plz share your journey so i can pick up good stuff from it. Thank you

Hi everyone recently got job offer. And here is the what I'm getting. Is it good. Job role : SDE1 Tech stack : Nodejs, React, AWS, DevOps CCTC: 6.5 all fixed Offer CTC : 8 fixed + 4 L ESOP + 1 to 1.5 performance bonus Is it worth it. I will be getting another offer 8.5 fixed. How to negotiate for that. It's is first switch and I was laid off in Feb. I'm moderately good at problem solving and have LC : 1600+ CF : 1450+ Please share your view. I'm really open for suggestions. Thanks in advance.
