Need Advice - SDE with No Coding Job

Got hired as an SDE with a good package. Came to the company expecting an SDE job Forced another role with little to no coding and in a field which I have no experience. Feels like college once again, studying something which you don't like Thought I would escape it if I join a company. These AHoles Fked it up for me. HR will reply 'business requirements', probably Pay is really good. Dintech UnICron starts with R Should I consider quitting? Is there an option to change teams within org?

In the long term if you think that you can grow in that field then you can stay, else leave. Don't stay there just for the sake of good pay.

This is a very niche job. No roadmaps, seniors not very helpful. Not at all interested in this field (after starting to understand). Many consider it difficult (seen on reddit). Less job opportunities compared to sde. Many working on my team are passionate about this, I'm not.

CTC is 26L+

If it is chip related, then it is good, you just need to explore the coding part as well. If it is networking, then God bless you

"good pay".. is the single reason to stay.
Ask yourself a question -who is going to know what you did today, three years from now?..
Your experience and expertise is what you claim.
Take the money and enjoy. If you find a better pay job, screw them and join there. It's a simple life.

Yes I get it. But doing something which you don't like for months or years. And losing skills which you acquired. Is it worth the pay? Yes, in real world money is important.

"who is going to know what you did today, three years from now" - won't it be in my resume? Would this position hinder me from getting a dev job in future is my doubt. Are sdet, devops, cybersecurity, ai/ml engineers considered eligible by a company looking for sde candidates?
