I am looking for a school who give importance to physical activity as much as they give to academics. My daughter will join to 5th class.

Looking for a school in and around Gachibowli area but not specific to Gachibowli .

A question to all the folks in Hyderabad, can you suggest any good PGs or maybe societies with flats near the 5km radius in Gachibowli region of Hyderabad.

Been in Bangalore for 6+ years and love everything the city has given me. 
This city ( more like people here) taught me what software engineering and product sense is, how to entrepreneurs function, whats a 100X coder like. 
Made many memories, weekend trips to nearby places were so nice. Dated, moved in and then married my girlfriend, adopted a dog. So Bangalore has given me a lot. 
But in hindsight it takes a way a lot also - 
1. Everybody is in constant work mode, even in parties its just about who is doing what
2. Everybody is in loot mode here - i have seen locals pay less for veggies/fruits in front of me, then the veggies apparently have lead in them
3. Rents/builders/brokers/roads - we all know whats up with them 

Though it was nice initially, now i feel like even after earning so much ( ctc > 1cr) if i just spend it all here ( monthly expenses ~2lacs same is with all my married friends), what is the point even.

Hence making a move to slow life now, where you get a house with garden for 25k and fresh veggies and you can actually develop some relationship with community. 

This urge to always outperform in career is not really needed, we all eventually work towards savings and hence if i earn less but spend even lesser, its more or less the same thing for me.

But i dont want to live in a matchbox, travel 1 hour to meet a friend, eat a roti for 150bucks and be in constant anxiety about climbing the ladder. 

All i want is to focus on health, and sit in a garden in some sunshine with my wife and my dog and enjoy a cup of tea. 

So yes, I AM DONE. Moving to a tier 2 ( more like tier 2.5 town )

 Both are different. 
  
 Also, costs can be low in Bangalore, spending 2L/mo in married life isn't a feature of the city, it's the feature of your circle.

I am looking for a place where I can get swimming  lessons , obviously to learn swimming and may be socialise a little. I tried looking for cult. It’s very costly plus it won’t be easy to go for it everyday, my work hours aren’t that friendly. Does anyone know a cheaper and decent place where I can go 2-3 times a week?

I was talking to a colleague at office and got shocked to hear that he is paying around 5 lakhs per annum for his 4 year old kid who just goes to a play school. 

Looks like there has been major inflation in education and I've been out of touch of this. I remember even top private schools having max monthly fees around 5k some 10 years back. 

Folks with kids in Bangalore, how are you managing your child's education and how much do you spend on it? Are there any cheap alternatives like KV/govt schools? 

Also, with education getting so expensive it would definitely act as a deterrent for couples to have kids !

I am single mother earning 35000 monthly with ed tech and my daughter is very bright student of 6th standard and I am solely taking care of her since she is 7 months old independently. Her % are more than 90% always and she is also a good basket ball player. I almost had 5+ years gap in my career due to divorce case and taking care of her. In those years too I kept working and almost earned around 10k per month. I started my career working with investment banking and I had to leave that due to all these responsibilities. Now as everyone are aware about how education has became costly my all earnings are going for her education and I am only focusing to Apr and Nov as these are the months when I need to pay her school fees in instalments. Her school don't provide scholarships, I did not found any govt policies who helps for single mother (who is not widow) to help their child education for middle school. Can anyone guide me is there any Institutes or CSR activities or Sponsors who provide support for bright kids for their school fees (even not fully but may be any part possibly). If any exams are needed report card is needed we are open for it to check her criteria for the same. 
**I have not taken any help from my retired parents yet for this and wish not to further as well, as they have already supported a lot directly indirectly. Her father never took any responsibility and also never ever met her and asked about her. Never expected any sympathy and I am proud and strong 39 years old parent working hard for her better present and future.
