Need guidance
Hello everyone, After losing all of my hope in finding job related my stream, I wanted to try out something new. I wanted to go of UI/UX designer role.
But to start that I would like to have some sort of roadmap that could help me start.
I would like to know about what to expect from this industry and what kind of challenges I might face.
If someone can share how they started and progressed then I would be thankful for the guidance.
You wont find a job because youre picking UX design as a last resort.
So, what should I do. My branch is Computer Science with specialization in health informatics. My resume is based on AI and ML.
And i cannot find a job.
My guy, I’m sure you haven’t tried all the possible ways to find a job in your field yet. There’s one basic rule to follow: figure out how to stand out from the rest of the crowd and learn to sell yourself.
The design industry is not some kind of last option. It’s equally brutal and takes a long time to be even able to get a good job to kick off your career. The keyword - “good job”.
UX Design is already flooded. Engineering has the potential. Change your strategies in job search. Tweak resume, show evidences of your expert knowledge applied, and outcomes realised. No one can stop you. Sell yourself bro. Persistant
Thanks you all for guiding me.
Hey man, I agree with a lot of other comments that it looks like there’s still a lot of things you can do. @NumbRefuge has highlighted them very well.
UX as a last resort makes no sense bcs it’ll take you at least 9-12 months to find a job. Just a job won’t comment on how good of a job that can be. So it’s best for you to double down on what you like and build on top of what you’ve already worked on. Stay put, all the best!
Bhai, UX Designer with 9 YOE here, got laid off 6 months ago, still haven't received a single call. So choose your path wisely.
