Use the budget for MS Apps subscription and go for 16-512 configuration.  
 8GB not recommended nowadays. 
 256 if you can live with it.

As long as no audio/video production using Adobe or other apps, totally fine with 8GB 
 However, suggest waiting till Oct to see if M4 chips are added

Help in choosing MacBook Air M3 variant

It is available for 65k (8gb/256gb) on Amazon after cash back and there will be further discounts in the coming sale. Is it a good buy in 2023? My usage is mostly browsing, emails, and excel work. My office has PCs and we don’t work remote so I don’t really need it for WFH. Or should I shell out 40k extra and buy MBA M2. Already have iPhone, watch and AirPods. If I want to go for 16gb / 512gb then the difference would be 40k again!

Hello everyone
I am planning to buy a MacBook for my personal use budget is ~1L. 
I have a few options:
1: Macbook pro 2019 i7 16/512 ~ 45-50k (refurbished)
2: Macbook air M1 16/255 ~1.2L (over budget)

Will the 2019 i7 macbook pros survive for the next 3-4 years? Or should I increase my budget and go for m1/m2?

Given that I would be working on personal projects on this laptip, should I go ahead only with MacBook?

Hello folks 👋 

I want to buy a laptop for personal usage. I will be using it mostly for media consumption and web dev. 

I have had a very bad experience with windows laptops in terms of hardware and battery life after a year of usage.  

Should I buy a MacBook Air with 16gb ram / Macbook Pro or should I trust a non apple laptop and slap a Linux distro on it call it a day ? 

Please share your experience or the machine you guys are using.

Ps- I am using a 16 inch Mac with M1 pro and 16gb ram but I feel I am not using it to its full potential hence it might be a waste of money for a personal laptop

Good Laptop suggestion

I'm confused between buying a MacBook Air M2 13", MacBook Pro M1, Macbook Air M2 15" (which just launched a few hours ago) or simply HP Pavilion, Lenovo ThinkPad, Asus Vivobook kind of 70K ish windows laptops.
I know Macbooks deliver way better battery and screen. But I'm wondering if it is worth investing 1.5L?
I would appreciate your opinion.
