Need inputs on code handover

A mobile based browser company gave an assignment to build a youtube video to mp3 converter. One thing I noticed is that they didn't have this feature already in their app. Do you guys think it's a genuine assignment or just a way to get work done taking advantage of the current market scenario?

Hey all! I have a person who pinged me on LinkedIn and says he has a freelance opportunity for about 800 to 900 usd a month. I asked him how much time I need to spend per week etc and he gave clear answers. Seems fair and I am ok with working more in the beginning of that gives me a second source of income. The only thing is, he only pays monthly and if he is a scammer, I would have worked for a month for free. Anyway to verify his offer's legitimacy? How do you guys handle such things if you have freelanced before?

I left a startup due to financial difficulties within the organization. Salaries were delayed for 3 months, however, the team and my previous employers have been very good to me throughout my time there, and it was solely due to the circumstances that I had to part ways. Now, the CEO has reached out to me, asking me to join as a part-time consultant on a case-by-case basis to help them resolve their issues, while I continue with my new job. This opportunity could provide me with additional income, but I have concerns about whether they will pay me for my consultations. Should I take the opportunity? How much should I ask for? Appreciate your thoughts!

I have a self funded startup and am looking for product studios that can help with MVP launch under 5 lac ( strictly under that figure ) I have tried contacting some of them.individually but could only find those charging 7 figures. PLEASE HELP

I was assigned a development task. We could not come up with a solution to implement few of the requirements from PM side. We managed to push an MVP after cutting down on few requirements. There are new requirements coming up related to this task. I have been unable to come up with a generic solution for this and I feel irritated when working on this task. No one from my team has knowledge or has worked on this task. I am ready to hand off this task to my teammates and have told my seniors that I don't want to work on it anymore. Any thoughts from fellow developers on my approach? Have you faced such issues?

Hi Wanted an opinion on how do you all tackle the assignment bit when it comes to assignments as part of hiring processes. One, how regular or normal is it at senior positions ? And two, I feel that a lot of times they just ask you to do everything that is expected of the job. Eg: Create a marketing strategy after analyzing landscape and top 3 competitors. Add graphs etc. I always have a concern of getting most out of you. Since its at round 1 they would be getting multiple such assignments, which means by design lpt of this work will be a waste and lots of inputs freely sourced. How do you all handle it ? Can you push back ? P.S: Am from business/ marketing aide of things and not sure of how it works for techies/ product.

What questions are asked for a product mgmt interview? How can one become a PM without tech background? I have product strategy background. In interviews i am able to ace product sense / product strategy questions but when it comes to tech, unable to show the required tech acumen (due to lack of actual exposure to it). Should I just stay put in product / business strategy roles or move into product mgmt? Reasons for moving into PM - want career and monetary growth, build tech stuff and not just strategise stuff. Have 6 yrs experience (2 yrs pre MBA data analytics+ 2 yrs business strategy + 2 yrs product strategy).
