I am tamil boy loving a kanada gowda girl.

I always looked at her and felt she is so beautiful, charismatic, and had an infectious smile. Looking at her made me smile broo.

Chapter 1
One day I decided to ask her out. I messaged her and our conversation grew then she spilled out that she also liked me a lot. And she was glad that I asked her out.

Chapter 2
She had studied in an all girls school and she had a stereotype about boys that they are all stupid and bad. And girls and boys should never be together. I was fine because atleast she liked me 😂. One fine day she asked me to break up with my brosss. I asked her why?
She said your friends are all playboys and I don't like the way they look at me. (Disclaimer: My bros are really nicest guys and I have known them since childhood they are the best gentlemen). We had an argument which didn't end on a good note.


Chapter 3
I left to a new state for my Job. After I reached there she messaged me that we can't talk and we have to stop whatever we had. I got anxious and worried and spent my 5 months not being able to contact her. I got into depression. Then me being restless on my birthday I came back to my hometown. At exactly 11:59PM when my bday was going to end she messaged me "Happy Birthday". I was so happy to see her message.

Chapter 4
We started talking and she said that she is leaving to Canada for her higher studies. I was happy for her but at the same time I was sad. I didn't want to see her go. We both cried and stayed on call till morning watching each other sleep.

Chapter 5:
She reached Canada and she completed her formalities and procedures. We talked for few more days but then eventually she started giving me hints that she is not interested. Then one day she abruptly messaged me and said we can't talk and we have to end everything. I cried the whole night, because there was no way for me to contact her and she had blocked me.

Chapter 6:
It has been 1 yr to that day. Somehow I have gone numb. I'm slowly forgetting her.

She left me.

Chill. After 5-6 years you will laugh on yourself that why in the world you gave so much importance to her. There is no derth of good women in this world. Moving her away was god's plan, for your good that you might never understand. Take Care!

She's bit of abusive when in anger and on the other hand I also made lot of mistake by giving hope & all. It becomes kind of hard for me to handle her anger. Now I trying to fix things up for our future. I tried connecting with lot of my friends & psychologist, but didn't get balanced solution. By balanced solution, I mean both of us should not suffer unfairly and live life peacefully. Both of us come from lower middle class family and both approaching 30. she's not working.

1. I have few responsibility for my family as well. So, one of my friend suggested "to do breakup and not continue because of these family responsibility. If I go with her, then in the end I have to sacrifice one thing in my life (sacrifice means not good future), either my family, her or my career. and not being true to my family responsibilities in future will give me more guilt than breaking up with her. and they told It'll become hard for me with family guilt. In chess, sometime you have to sacrifice queen to win. Also, they asked me to read geeta that duty comes first than anything else. and family didn't make any wrong and deserve the best in future."

2. My judgement around this is kind of messedup right now. Although i understand the logic part of it and completely agree with this. but Emotional part of this is kind of making me feel guilt. that i did very wrong to someone. and Even i understand that it'll be hard/impossible for me carry all these burden in future, still I think lets go with her just that I dont want her to suffer things.

3. Above 2 solution feels very biased to me. In both solution, one of us have to suffer badly. Posting here to get your solution. I know both type of people exist here. Someone will feel more for her and other will prefer family.

I'm 21 m. Had a 9 months old relationship with a girl who's 6 months older. It was the best 9 months of my life. We connected on so many levels that I never thought would happen with me at such a young age. 

Recently, she broke up with me. It was not our mistake. Her mother isn't well (from a long time, and I knew that) and her last wish is to see her daughter getting married. 

Forcefully, she had to admit this and told me everything. And told me that we need to end this. 

It's been 3 weeks, and there's minimal contact between us. 

I'm a final year college student, not getting placements, too much pressure from family. I can't think about anything. Feels like all of this is eating me up. We had very secure future plans, but everything is over now. I don't know what to do. 

I try very hard to stay on track, but her thoughts are eating me up. I've started meditation, therapy and everything, but nothing is working the way I thought it would do.

I just found out today I’ve been cheated on by my long term girlfriend who I lived with. Turns out she’s been cheating for a few months but she’s only just told me now because she’s fallen out of love for me and she’s fallen in love with him, so she’s leaving me for him.

She says I neglected giving her the attention she needed because I was so focused on work I forgot to do the nice things for her like bring her flowers, or take her out for dinner or to just show her how much I loved her.

Even though I’m so heart broken and haven’t stopped crying, I do forgive her because it’s true my work hours were bad and because we lived together I kept thinking in my head “it’s fine, ill make it up to her next time”. 

Plus, I was planning to quit my job once bonus comes at the end of this year to find a more chilled job so I could spend more time with her, I truly am ready to leave my job and that was my plan so I was just holding out until then. But now I won’t have the chance because she said its too late she has already lost interest in me and loves him.

But this guy is a software engineer at a FAANG company earning 60-70L a year whilst only having to work 9-5 so he’s richer and has more free time to give her attention. Actually she said he only works around 3 hours per day, he does around 1 hour in morning then 2 hours after lunch and for the rest of the day he’s free to spend time with her, and his company doesn’t notice or mind. So this guy earns almost 3x my compensation for only 3 hours a day meanwhile I’m working 12 hours a day 

She would sneak out whilst I was at work to go on dates with him or round his house and then she would come back to my home in my bed in time for when I arrived from work so I wouldn’t notice. 

Now I feel really broken, I’m in no mental state to be working I can’t think about anything else I have deadline for work today and I’m just sat here crying writing this post. I know men are meant to be strong and hold our emotions together but I really am sad.

I want to ask for 3 days sick leave at work but I don’t know if this normal and acceptable to do? Given most sick leave would be for grievances like the death of a loved one etc.

or am I being a cry baby and I should man up and continue to work?

I think the current phase in my life is the lowest I am already PIPed by swiggy and I have broken up with my gf.

Feeling like my life has reached the end. Can't sleep at all specially after the break up. Now I regret for blocking her atleast I should have waited until getting into some company. But now I don't want to go to her due to some personal reasons.

Sorry to hear what you're going through. It may sound cringe but praying to god helped me during my tough times. 
 Talk to your parents and siblings if you're on good terms. If nothing helps talk to a psychologist. 
 I may get flack for saying this, but right now you have a much bigger problem to deal with, i.e. PIP. Start preparing for interviews during weekends and try to finish your office work diligently.  
  
 As for your relationship, no one here knows how serious you were about it. If both of you hadn't considered making it long term, I would say it's better to keep things the way they are right now. I had a pretty bad breakup few years back, but now when I look back, all I can do is laugh about the fact that,  I was head over heals for such a shitty person. 
  
 It's my suggestion and I might be completely wrong and being a d*ck here. You have to decide what's utmost important to you write now. 
  
 Prioritize your physical and emotional well-being, then your work, and then someone else. Wish you all the best.

I have a 3yr long relationship which started off as a fling but later we both got attached to each other. Hey Folks,
I’m in a phase where I have decided to move out from my present company. My present company is very dear to me as it gave me the taste of what success looks like. Honestly, I would have never made it had I not received the support and backing that I got here.

I don’t know if I am making the correct decision. Emotions are literally overflowing. One side of mine tells me that I am making the wrong decision whereas the other side is excited to see what future holds for me. 

Literally anxious of all the thoughts that are crossing my mind. What if , I am not able to perform at my next company ? What if , they decide to hire me and then not honour their offer letter ? What if, the company has a mass layoff and I am impacted ?

All these thoughts are literally eating me from inside. Any suggestions on how can I handle the same ?

So i am writing this post reaching out to the world of men for help. So as we all know that as a man we are pressured to get married and start a family as soon as we start earning some money. I am a 27 year old man, who is doing decent in life. So as we are looking out for girls in this arranged marriage setup i am in talking stage with a girl. So in chat i am good and fine and i talk well. But from front i am shy and conscious as to not do anything that would come across as a creep. So i this girl let’s name her X is in a Y profession and she is in a different profession from me. So i work in City A and am also ready to relocate to city B after getting married. On one of my dates she said she had switched the company and joined another company within 15 days so me being a working professional said that you could have served a few more days of notice and tried for a different company for a greater pay rise. Look i am not aware how her line of work operates i just gave my opinion not sure what she thought she started saying of you want a higher package woman marry her. Then one day she said that you will be my second priority after marriage my work will always come first. I chose to ignore it. Then when we met after the date she tried to hug me me being an introvert and a shy person i got a little awkward hugged her back but lightly not tightly. She flipped out on me like i pushed her away and i am not interested in her. I tried to explain this to her. She did not listen to me. I have been the one from the start who has been down tooling myself ready to sacrifice things trying to make things work. She brought a gift for me i was happy and shocked and a bit confused so my expression came across a awkward to which she said i did not like it. This is how i am. I have always been an introverted and a shy person never been in a relationship in my life, so these things do not come to me naturally. I am a 30 M , got married in 2020 and clearly the marriage was not working out. My wife and her mother was always finding ways to control me from the beginning with all the little things and my wife started this drama like with every fight she used to leave the house and stay at her mother’s and not comeback until all the parents gets involved and me asking sorry, one time she left the house because I cooked the curry and had asked her to do roti this turned into a fight and just for that she left the house. And her mother threatened me that she won’t send her daughter back until I ask sorry. There were LOT of these instances and at one point I really got fed up and started standing up for myself, in the last fight she said she won’t come back again and I said please don’t I am also tired of this. After a month she started reaching out to me asking sorry and apologies and all but I had lost all trust in the relationship and I wanted sometime. Even if I let her in her mother would have ruined the relationship again , so I asked her since I have no trust you have to agree on that in future if we get divorced if we have kids the kids stay with me and I won’t pay any alimony. Following this discussion she lodged a fake domestic violence and dowry case against me and my family. And I filed for divorce after I seeing police station and all. I have all the evidence to prove that I am innocent but the court is taking very very long time and now she is asking for for a huge amount only the she will agree for divorce 😣
