Have put while graduation when we had no work related things. Like Marathons, martial arts etc as extra curriculars. Some hobbies are conversation starters when interviewing freshers. 
  
 But sperm count and VO2 Max is plain stupid.  
 What's next? Body counts?

Hobbies are great - as long as its not Travel. Guaranteed conversation enhancers. 
  
 The stand out I have seen so far is a "Consumption of coffee by hour of day" graph on the resume.   I hired him.
