Start creating a project portfolio and keep posting on LinkedIn about your learning journey. I have seen many people doing that. Also spending some money on 1:1 mentoring might also help. There are many good mentors on topmate.

Hey guys, 

I'm a recent engineering graduate from a Tier-1 University with decent skills and cgpa. 

As I graduated, I got placed in a MNC as a consultant. But I haven't heard any updates from them yet. Worried about my future, I've started applying to companies for internships and jobs too.

But not only am I not getting selected, I'm not getting any kind of updates from these companies too. Not even as much as a rejection mail. I've recently hit three digits in the number of applications and it's worrying me to see no responses. 

So this is my humble request to the community to help me find a job. I'm a skilled data analyst with proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI and Python. I also did many projects on data science and machine learning but my primary interest lies in analytics. 

Even anything as small as a suggestion/tip on what to do or how to proceed would be helpful !!!

Looking for Data analytics roles

So I am currently working on mainly Python and SQL. I was thinking of upskilling but I am confused whether I should go full stack role maybe learn react or should I go data engineer role and learn big data. I have worked with ETL software’s such as snowflake and Databricks.

I want to switch job but looks like no one is hiring for someone who only knows python and sql.(though major work is on sql only ) 
Any suggestions

I am a fresher working as a Data analyst in a growing startup. My current role doesn't include much of coding just python and SQL and sometimes little bit ML work. Currently handling 2 projects, and some of PM work to define some roadmaps.
I like engineering and coding in whole and want to know more. So do I switch to some SDE role or is there are more paths after Data analytics? I know ML, DL and NLP but not sure will it be a great choice to make career primarily in Data science.
So, I am little confused. Please give all good advices.

I'm a CA Inter pass out with about 7 years work ex. 
I have worked in fields such as Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Compliance and Reporting. 

And i for a fair fact also believe i have a thing for Data analytics. 
I get too excited when i have to work with large chunks of data on a spreadsheet to formulate results out of it. 

I want to get into Data Analytics. 
How do I go about it ? 
I have been learning R and Python at a slow pace.

I have been working in Analytics since close to 3 years and been wondering what would be the best way to pivot to data science/machine learning as all the roles require atleast 3 years of hands on experience which I don't have unfortunately.....

I've done couple of mini projects on Data science but hiring managers don't seem to be impressed as they would be looking for someone with production environment exposure. 
so my question is how do you show you are competent enough w/o significant hands on experience?

Hi all Analytics folks,

I need your help, suggestion and whatever you can in python project in data analytics.
I have a couple of doubts in it.

I'm a data analyst having 2 year of experience while i know python but never worked in it. I used SAS and SQL. I'm giving interviews since couple of months and I'm realizing interviewers aren't so happy from the project i did in my company, it's sort of reconciliation ane validation.

1. Now I want to build some portfolio project in python specifically in data analytics(excluding any ML algorithms) but unable to find any. I'm searching projects in marketing customer segmentation and risk analytics but i found everyone is using ML in these projects.

Can't it be done without using ML or I'll have to use ML algos and core stats in building portfolio project.

2. What you guys do in your day to day work in python. Ratio of your work in python, sql, excel and other tech stacks. Excluding ML coz I'm not focusing on it for now.
