 The dev-product-design teams seemed good.  
  
 They do celebrate occasionally.  
  
 Not really the high paying kind. 
  
 The office is kinda open, no cubicles or seperation and has a long and wide workspace so sometimes it gets chaotic like too many people in a large hall. 
  
 The HR/Admin and IT teams are slow (shouldn't use the word BAD). 
  
 They do give Macs.

1. Principle of Reciprocity
Humans value balance and dislike feeling indebted. When someone gives you a gift, you feel compelled to return the favor. In business, this can be seen in restaurants where a small mint given with the bill can increase tips by 3%. If the waiter adds a personal touch, tips can increase by 23%. To use this principle, be the first to give and make your gesture personalized and unexpected.

2. Principle of Scarcity
People want what is rare or in limited supply. For example, imagine a popular concert with only a few tickets left. When people hear that tickets are almost sold out, they rush to buy them, fearing they'll miss out. This urgency and exclusivity drive demand. In business, create a sense of urgency by highlighting limited availability or exclusive offers to encourage quick decision-making.

3. Principle of Consensus
People follow the actions of others. In hotels, signs asking guests to reuse towels for environmental reasons achieve 34% compliance. Changing the message to "8 out of 10 guests reuse their towels" increases compliance to 52%. Leverage social proof by showcasing how many others have made the same choice.

4. Principle of Authority
People are more likely to be influenced by those who are authoritative and knowledgeable. For example, dentists in white coats endorse toothpaste, and renowned movie directors promote the camera capabilities of mobile phones. Authority and credibility build trust, making people more likely to follow their advice.

5.Principle of Liking
People are more likely to be influenced by those they like. According to Cialdini's research, MBA students who discussed personal interests before negotiating reached agreements 90% of the time, compared to 55% for those who got straight to business.

Hello guys I recently joined nykaa and within first week they have assigned lot of issues to me. Without giving Time to onboard. And it's 5 days office.
Now I got another offer from one startup phyllo. And it's complete remote and giving better package than nykaa. 
Should I consider leaving nykaa and join that?
Here in nykaa we have to take permission from manager to take wfh also.

I have received two offers, one from Nykaa (SDE-2 full-stack) and the other from MMT (SDE-2 frontend).
Both are for the Banglore location. Which one should I choose considering better work culture and work-life balance? Any help will be appreciated.

So I was working wfh since past year and recently shifted to a project after a promotion, it’s a nice project and something I was looking forward to work with, but now my reporting manager says that you have to clock atleast 8 hours daily at this tracking software ( Nippon Buddy ). 
And I’ve to report to office 12 days a month, that’s okay but this 8 hours capture time is kinda nuts. 
Do you guys have these kinda policy as well or is it just at service based companies ?

How many of you just decide to quit applying for a company if the company’s recruiting platform is Workday?

I’m just so frustrated. And irrespective of the size of the company, I’ve really quit the process right then and there if ever I see workday. This includes big companies like VISA, Walmart, etc.

What's the worst company you have worked for?

ICICI Bank, they had a strict sign in timing policy where if you are late to corporate office, half day salary would be cut, It would be reversed only when manager approves. The sign out time used to be 5.15pm, but you would be made to sit till 8 pm by most of the managers even if your job is done for the day. A sign out at 6 pm used to be called as half day by most of the managers. 
 I heard now they donot have this dictatorial policy.
