Office buly

How to deal with an office buly who tries to take credit of my work, tried undermine me in front of manager. She never mentions if I had done the job but she exaggerates in case I fall behind, I mean I noticed this 4-5 times now. I am at this startup and I have no idea why is behaving like that with me only....she works from home so I don't even get to interact with her or to know why exactly she tries belittle me in front our manager.....

1/ Make sure you document all your work and communicate it out as yours. Send emails, send docs. You can't be slow or lazy about this. Visibility is king in corporate.

2/ If she's constantly targeting you, ensure that you document about all of her toxic / non collaborative behaviours and have a conversation with your manager about it.

3/ If you ever want to call someone out, your work should be perfect. You can't afford to fall behind.

Document everything. If you’re a dev, send a EOD update with the progress you’ve made. The blockers you have and tag who can unblock you. CC the manager.

Be persuasive but not manipulative. Tag her explicitly when she is blocking you or undermining you and then make a statement.

She can’t change what your manager knows already.
