I am the first Marketing member to join this startup. CEO wants hypergrowth without paid marketing. He has termed this as “Growth Hacking”. Product is not launched yet, no full time employees, no marketing budget, operating in a space which is yet to be proven and he wants me to crack “word of mouth marketing”. He’s a smart guy but it gets on my nerves sometimes. You either grow gradually without paying for marketing or grow at a breakneck speed with ads. How do I explain him this?

I’m really curious to know what exactly the Marketing Team does cause in the previous two organisations that I worked at , The Marketing Dept was kinda meh. So I wanted to know if it’s the case everywhere or does an actual good Marketing Team exist as the ones I’ve interacted with their lead generation and marketing was trash.

Imploding after investors turned off the taps a year so ago.. investors spoilt the ecosystem chasing growth with weak business models.. disintermediation doesn’t always work.. neither does setting up models that impose costs and ignore risks … the chickens come home to roost..

FMCG is so overcrowded ?. How do you publicize your product? You know it's unique, you know it's liked by all (whoever has tried it) but how to promote organic growth ? The key question is how to promote it FAST ?

Well I am the founder of C2B unfunded startup, we had earlier options to raise funding but investor reputation was not good, right we are not looking for funding and focusing more on generating revenue, our biggest problem is getting organic users because i don't have enough money spent on ads, i know it will be unclear to you guys suggest as you don't know the product, but what the best organic/ cheap ways to get new customers?
