Planning to relocate from Bengaluru to Noida

I will potentially be moving for a new role to sector 9 Noida, so I wanted an idea of how much the cost of living(as a bachelor) might be in areas around there. With a change in career, the role will pay around 8-12lpa so I wanted a sense of is the move worth it...

Will be moving to Noida in July. What are the best sectors / societies to live in?

I have been in a rewarding career in Chennai for about a decade. Came in as a fresher but now married and have 2 kids. Have an option to move to Noida now. Given cultural differences, elder kid now finds it difficult to adjust at school. Elderly parents dont find the weather and neighbors friendly enough to live with me for more than a month. Remain stuck in the apartment. People who have lived both in Chennai and Noida, please share your experiences on a cost of living and future career options in NCR perspective.

I am currently WFH, but looking for new opportunities. Since most of the companies are now demanding on site, which is better for better growth, savings and learning? Gurgaon/ Noida or Bangalore?? Current Experience ~ 2 years

I am a middle class guy working as a senior engineer in one of the product companies. I belong from the north-east, and I am the only child in my family. Since covid, I was working in a wfh setup. Recently, my company has ended work from home for everyone, and I am supposed to move to Bangalore very soon or quit. I am an active user on all social media groups on Reddit, Fb, etc. For the past couple of months after seeing so much of negative news about Bangalore, Especially the high population, skyrocketing rents, the auto unions, corruption, cut-throat competition, discriminative news, traffic issues, etc. It makes me nervous to be honest. My wfh here was pretty chill, and I had a very limited social circle here, but was satisfied since I could spend most time with my mom and dad. Im very afraid now about what should I do next, shall I quit the job and search for wfh, or shall I make my move. I don’t have any acquaintances there, no friends, no idea about what I’ll be doing next, how to start house hunting, or job hunting. At this point I am miserable and overwhelmed to think about all of this. Anyone who has gone through all of these, If you can share your 2cents, experiences or thoughts, about how you dealt this phase. It will be really helpful for me at this point in my journey. I am planning to settle down in one particular city in the next 3 to 5 years. I am currently evaluating Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. From long term perspective ( for next 20 to 30 years) Which city will offer better job prospects ( IT/Software Development/Product Management/Strategy related jobs) along with a decent life style supported by satisfactory amenities like Gated housing options which are not super expensive, Good schooling options for kids, Decent commuting facilities like Metro, wide roads etc. Interested to hear feedback from folks who went through or going through this dilemma.

My new job starts on 1st of June 2023 in Noida location sector 63, Kindly refer me stays near my office location. How much it will cost. PG and co-living is ok for me.

I'm a 28-year-old married (Wife is also working) individual currently residing in Kolkata, where the living expenses are relatively low. I have 5 years of work experience, and my current compensation package is 28 lakhs fixed and 3 lakhs variable (approximately 1.95 lakhs in-hand salary after deductions). With no liabilities or responsibilities, my monthly expenses are around 40,000 INR, and I manage to invest around 1.5 lakhs per month. Currently, I enjoy a stable job and live with my parents, who take care of most of my living expenses. However, I'm considering the possibility of switching jobs and moving to another city, which would require me to bear the additional costs of rent, food, and other living expenses on my own. Question: Given my current financial situation and the potential for increased living costs in a new city, should I explore a job switch and relocation? Or should I continue with my current stable job and living arrangement in Kolkata, where my expenses are minimal? What factors should I consider when making this decision?

Hey folks, I will be joining a company which is in noida sector 132 express tower 2 in the next week. If someone can suggest me good pgs where i can stay and which will also be convenient for me to travel to office , that will be helpful. Also, are there safety concerns there? I am from Maharashtra, and i have heard rumours, so if u can suggest me accordingly where to find pg , i ll be grateful. Any other tips u want to share, do share 😅
