Product Analyst for 18LPA

I was a business analyst at a decacorn at 9LPA and recently transitioned into product analyst(to get into product management) at 12 LPA. I also had an offer from another B2B listed startup at 15 LPA, but I chose the 12 LPA offer because it is in B2C. Did i make the right decision?

I’m currently working at a B2B SaaS company as a PM. I have a great interest in analytics but not getting enough exposure here and my role has just got so redundant and more like project manager. It’s been really difficult in the last couple of months as growth seem to have stopped and I am really scared about my career. Experience - 1 Year Current Comp - ~17LPA fixed with some Esops Should I consider switching to analytics ( I am confident about my skills which will get me something in analytics ) given my current situation or try to get another good role in PM to which the market has been really cruel lately. Need some advice!!

I am a 2023 grad and I have been looking for a entry level product role. I was interning with a startup but couldn’t get full time due to funding issues. Have got a offer as Senior Business Analyst (recruiter said it’s Product Analyst don’t why they call it BA and interviewer said not much difference between APM and this role work wise). Been facing the dilemma of whether to take it or keep looking for a new role. Not sure what to do. Comp is 10L, notice period -2 months. Bootstrapped startup and I have a engineering background (CS)

Hey all, I've recently recieved a couple of offers in the product management space and would be grateful if y'all could help me weigh in the pros and cons. Context: I'm a Tier-1 engineering grad with <1 yoe. 1. Product analyst at an insanely profitable, bootstrapped startup in the gaming space (industry of preference). The product and strategy are best in class and would be a great learning experience. I would be working in the team associated with their primary cash cow business unit. However, I've heard that the working hours are slightly long and wlb would take a hit. Also, my pay would be quite high and if I were to make a switch for an APM role, there would be very few options that would give a hike over this given my YOE. 2. Associate Product Manager at Flobiz, a Fintech pivoting to be a neobank for SMEs. This was my first offer and on informing the HR that I would be taking up the other offer, the co-founder who had taken my final interview has requested me for a chat. The work culture seems great with a strong alumni network currently in the firm. They are ready to match the pay as well but ESOPs would probably not be liquidated any time soon. The brand name is inferior as well, compared to the other firm.

Hi All I have 2.5 YOE as an analyst, currently working as an senior product analyst with CTC of 15L fixed + 5L ESOPs. I have only been in product since start of career and have a set path to becoming an APM at my firm by next cycle in Dec. Recently I wanted some building experience and I have built a few web and mobile apps and I found coding is very interesting. I’m having thoughts about switching careers because of 2 reasons: 1) Money - although I believe I’m underpaid (cause I received offers of 22L fixed for role of product analyst in past but chose not to switch because of market volatility.) But in long run, I believe being tech is going to make a lot more money compared to product roles (I have friends with 1-2 YOE making 26L fixed) and the remote opportunities. 2) Skills Product is mostly soft skills and tech is more hard skills driven. With amount of layoffs in PM roles, I think tech is just a safer bet. Also given I don’t hate coding. I think I would happily code compared to doing things like user calling/ making review decks/ following up with other teams meticulously/ writing PRDs. One specific question I have is: what are things in tech role that are not very fun to do but still part of JD?

I recently got a decent offer. Recruiter asked me whether I want to wait for other potential offers before signing but I decided to sign as I thought that the market is bad and I might not get another offer. Later I realised that I was lowballed in terms of cash compensation. Right now, I have been shortlisted for 2 more companies that pay very well and I think I can crack those offers. The thing is, I like the first company a lot as their interview process and interviewers gave me a good idea of their work culture. Ideally, I would want to join them but I also think that I can get a much better package, potentially 2x in terms of cash compensation. Current offer in hand (good company): 18LPA fixed + 50LPA RSU vested in 4 years Potential offers(decent company/ layoffs happened/happening): 25-35LPA fixed + RSU I was also thinking that maybe I can go back to the first company after getting an offer from the second one and ask them to increase their initial offer or match it with the new one. Any views viners?

Hi Grapeviners, I have an exp of exactly 2 years and i received an offer from a startup for analyst (level 1) at a cash component of ~ 20L (includes 10 % variable) and ESOP worth 3 L. My current company had an all fixed comp at 15 LPA ( fully remote) but the new company is WFO at Bangalore. I am also giving interviews for two other companies parallelly but my LWD of my current company was yesterday. Should I go ahead with this offer? Overall it looks decent but it's definitely not a financial improvement for me as the hike will offset the living expenses and the 30% tax bracket. Need your take on this guys. Should I wait more? The current offer I cannot hold for more than a week before it expires.

Role - Product Designer YOE - 2 Current CTC - 9LPA Offer in hand - 18-22LPA + Esops But I'm happy and sorted in my current company, work life balance is amazing. I'm not sure how the work culture will be in new company and if it goes this smoothly. What should I do? Help me out. TIA

I recently got offer from an early stage startup in banglore. They raised a total funding of $5.19M over 2 rounds. My offer is 13 LPA + 1 lakh retention bonus 5k per month for commute and health insurance I have past experience of 2 years working with 2 startups and building apps from scratch for them. Honestly I'm really confused about this offer, it is for sure better than my previous offer but I'm not feeling satisfied. Any suggestions guys?

I got a job offer of 10 LPA base as a Business Analyst at a BFSI company. The work is full remote with an option to do hybrid as well. The office is in Bangalore and I really want to move there since it’s just the starting of my career and I feel like I could learn a lot by being in office, but idk if I can afford Bangalore rent and COL with this base. Any inputs (including your thoughts on if I should stay remote or move to Bangalore) are appreciated.
