There’s this chap on GV who posted that they haven’t received any calls for the past 3 months. Has 2.5 years experience with a current ctc around 15L. We spoke to them only to realise their expectations are 32L (26 fixed and 6 in esops)

In a market flooded with resumes due to unfortunate situations, is it fair to have such an expectation and at the same time, call out on GV that they haven’t been getting calls for an interview?

Are high expectations in such a market valid (even accounting for cream deserves takes)

Hi fellow designers, I am a brand & graphic designer who worked at a smaller design studio for the last 5 years or so. I am now looking to join an in-house brand team in a big start-up/corporate. In my previous company, since it was a smaller design studio, I was getting paid less compared to what startups and corporates pay their designers.

I am a Product Designer at an Edtech Startup (raising 20m Series B soon) with almost a year (1) of full time experience but overall almost 3 (including internships) at some great companies.

As I am looking for a change what salary should I expect? Considering:-

- I have a design degree from a Non-IIT/Non-NID Tier 1 University (known for good engineers) [so good foundation hopefully]
- The companies I have interned at range from Japanese MNC/Conglomerate, Indian Fashion focused E-Commerce Giant, Indian Food Tech/Delivery Giant & an Indian Digital Transformation Giant.
- The average stipend I earned at these companies was around 40K/month.
- The salary I earn right now every month is between 70 - 90K
- I believe I have Got good Product focused UX knowledge. [Part of the Product team not a seperate Design Team]
- Not another Figma/Framer drooling Designer.
- Many of my peers from my alma mater are placed in Big Tech or Desi Giants owned by Foreign Giants

So what salary should I be expecting? (Keeping aside the ESOP/RSU part)
Is ~ 1.25L/month in hand is right ask?

Hi, i have been working outside India for the last 5 years, so am not sure of what to enter as expected salary for senior leadership roles in design. Any insights would be great!

So I have been doing freelancing from quite some time and have worked on web apps and mobile applications which were completely under me, client just brought the rough ideas of the product they were looking for and so I worked from scratch on those, although I was on learning stage still managed to deliver big projects alone. So I wanted to know does this count as product designer? Or still it will be just UI/UX designer? 
Also I am planing to join a company as full time how much salary can I ask them? Like I have around 2 years of experience although all were freelance projects. I have experience in designing modern UI websites to multi featured mobile apps, web apps and logos. 
If I go for interview how much can I ask in salary?
