React or Spring Boot

I have joined a startup as Backend Developer Intern. I get a stipend of 6K/ Month. They said they will offer full time position after internship, but the salary will be 10-12K.

The only good thing is I am directly working on a live project. I am making REST APIs there.

I have 5 months of time. What should I do? Should I learn react or should I learn backend concepts more deeply. I am also planning to apply for jobs side by side. Give your valuable thoughts on what should I do?

Go deep in backend, kinda expertise in one language with it… Then explore frontend. Many companies or startups are ok with bad but working code for frontend. This is my personal view

Interesting question. I don't have a clear answer.

Depth can help you standout in the interviews. Breadth can help you get shortlisted for the interviews.

Learning backend development in more depth is what I would do in your position. I would also spend a lot of time on interview prep (DSA first then LLD if time's available).

Learning React and becoming full stack might help you get shortlisted in a few more opportunities than with just backend. But converting those opportunities as a fresher with relatively lower depth of skills could be difficult.
