Reality Check
Hi fellow grapeviners, I came across few posts mentioning i am earning 60+ or 70+ lpa having 2.5 to 3 years of experience but age is only 23 or 24. I know this is too good to be real. Some iitians can do but are these people real? Please answer because these posts make me depressed i don't know why?

I am 40 year old so I think I can give some brotherly advice as a elder one.
If you ask these 60/70 folks they will be looking at someone and be having the same feeling like you.
Once you cross 6-7L anything more is to satisfy your lifestyle and luxury.

Yes, it happens but is rare. I know few people personally. Some people simply have an exponential growth curve early on. Call it luck, smarts, skills, whatever. It's good to acknowledge it and try to reach for it, but not healthy to start expecting/obsessing over it.

See I can tell you mine. I am earning 15LPA and is only 23 years. In my case I don't even have Btech.
So I think someone with Btech and good skills maybe be earning 30-40Lpa. But 50+ seems unreal.

I was 20 when i started with 10lpa and now 22 i am at 16. Honestly i am happy but these inflated figures made me question myself. So i tapped some trusted resources and friends in those companies and they said there base is almost what ours is and these inflated figures are enjoyed by them only for first year with bonus, retantion and relocation they receive after that every consecutive year the amount they keeps decreasing only. And the most of their package comes from esops offered to them in usd and are therefore heavily taxed.

Don't question yourself. I will take those people from this world 10year before you. So even after earning so much they will have less time than you. So enjoy.

1cr - 92lpa with 5 years of work experience

It's real, doing 50+ on 1 YOE (age 22)

It's real. I'm from a tier 3 college who graduated in 2021. Current CTC = 60. Cash = 50

Hey can I reach out to you ?

Those numbers could be total CTC. Not just actual cash component.

And i started at 20 because my degree was of 3 years

Does it happens, yes. Is it also very rare, yes. You are talking about top 0.1% in tech if you compare by salary to age ratio.
