 i would recommend going with the refurbished one, given that no tampering has been done with it. there won't be such a difference in the performance, and you can upgrade the used laptop by investing half of the saved money, so win win.

I have a few options:
1: Macbook pro 2019 i7 16/512 ~ 45-50k (refurbished)
2: Macbook air M1 16/255 ~1.2L (over budget)

Will the 2019 i7 macbook pros survive for the next 3-4 years? Or should I increase my budget and go for m1/m2?

I know it sounds very funny as it's almost nothing, but considering my background, this is huge for me after just turning 23 and started working 4 months ago at 7k pm. I got 92k just in last 7days. I was in heavy depression for few years, had no plans for future even few months ago.


My target was 1L at the end of 2023, got it after 3 days. Mostly I am putting all in MF now. I don't need emergency funds as of now, my parents have planned for those. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I need to upgrade to a mid level laptop asap. So it'll be big investment. An investment that I hope will give me massive return.

Next realistic target 7-8L at end of 2024. Let's see if I can get there or not.

I want to buy a laptop for personal usage. I will be using it mostly for media consumption and web dev. 

I have had a very bad experience with windows laptops in terms of hardware and battery life after a year of usage.  

Should I buy a MacBook Air with 16gb ram / Macbook Pro or should I trust a non apple laptop and slap a Linux distro on it call it a day ? 

Please share your experience or the machine you guys are using.

Ps- I am using a 16 inch Mac with M1 pro and 16gb ram but I feel I am not using it to its full potential hence it might be a waste of money for a personal laptop

I am considering buying a macbook air, feel like spending 1.3 lakh for new m2 air is too much. What do you guys suggest, should you buy second hand?
