Reached 1.5L Networth

I know it sounds very funny as it's almost nothing, but considering my background, this is huge for me after just turning 23 and started working 4 months ago at 7k pm. I got 92k just in last 7days. I was in heavy depression for few years, had no plans for future even few months ago. My target was 1L at the end of 2023, got it after 3 days. Mostly I am putting all in MF now. I don't need emergency funds as of now, my parents have planned for those. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I need to upgrade to a mid level laptop asap. So it'll be big investment. An investment that I hope will give me massive return. Next realistic target 7-8L at end of 2024. Let's see if I can get there or not.

Good luck. Any start and all starts are excellent. Remember as with everything else but specifically with investing - Discipline is Destiny. Looking forward to your 10L, 50L and 1 cr post. For the LapTop - buy refurbished. Will be cheaper, comes with a guarantee if you get it off an authorised refurb site. Don't always have to have the latest and greatest spec.

Don't put everything in mutual funds. Diversify your investments and have some emergency funds of your own as well. You never know what might happen in life. All the best 👍

Here's my nw breakdown- FD/Emergency fund: 5L MF/stocks: 1L Sitting around: 4L (can't get myself to invest it, the market seems very overvalued. Will try to invest this in small chunks over a duration) Next target is 50L, it'll take much longer than this 😭

Reached 1Cr Net Worth yesterday

I started with a job of 8k/month as a data entry operator after my B.Tech from an expensive tier 4 college which I paid for using an education loan. Had major inferiority complex. Probably still do. Took some 5 years years after b.tech to pay that off. Didn't have a job in 2 of those years. Worked as a milkman for those two years. Anyway..somehow I got a meaningful job in 2017 and today I am a tech lead with 70L base and some equity. Reached this giant(atleast in my mind) milestone of 1 Cr this month. Could not have even dreamt of this much money some 5 years back. Yet, now some family members and family tell me "tukka lag gya tera" (you got lucky). But I keep feeling that I did kinda work hard for this in a way but it hurts when a first uncle or first cousin says "Tukka lag gya tera". Ofcourse now I feel financially confident(somewhat) and I try enjoy whatever pressures I can. Just wanted to share my little story.
