Reached 5L networth
I know it's not a big amount, but felt proud of myself because I was a big spender, but since last 6 months I have been saving aggressively. Breakdown!: Stocks: 2L MF: 1L EPF; 50k PPF: 50k FD/Emergency Fund: 1L Next target is 15L by the end of 2024. Let’s see if it’s achievable 🙏.

I have one suggestion: Rather than doing individual stock picking, just focus on MF SIPs. Time spent researching stocks is better utilised in upskilling yourself so that you can further increase your income.

For now 50% allocation is in NIFTYBEES, rest 50% goes into individual stocks. I think it doesn’t take more than 5 hrs a month to do the research part! Also, my elder brother and my girlfriend are traders since past years, so they also help in stock picking.
That sounds awesome! If you are already getting vetted recommendations, then it’s totally cool.

I have a new worth of 25 lakhs at the age of 30. Where are folks of my age have a net worth of 2.5 crores. People say one must have gratitude in life. But being a pessimist and having inferiority complex since school days, I find it so hard to value what I have in my life. I don’t think I’ll ever be happy for what I have in my life. I believe there’s no such thing called as enough money. I feel the quest for money doesn’t stop at all.

Make sure you keep some funds liquid in case of emergency. Thumb rule - Keep your 6 months of monthly expenses liquid.
Since you have just started saving…you can build on it but do keep funds for emergency.
