These roles often demand a deep understanding of local regulations and market dynamics. Your 7 years of experience can be a plus, but it's not a sure-shot ticket. Keep applying and improving your skills. Remember, every rejection is a step closer to acceptance.

I am not part of the Bangalore/Hyderabad group and due to personal reasons can't move there.

Due to this a lot of opportunities get lost as companies don't entertain applications. Is there a way to convince the hiring manager against this?

How to convince companies to hire remotely

I’m not talking about companies like Meta, Google or companies that have their branch offices in India. Even Turing has registered India entity to pay employee salaries.

For example, take Miro. They have offices in Amsterdam but they don’t have a registered entity/office in India. Can companies like those hire Indian workers and make them work remotely from India?
If yes, how would they pay salary? They won’t have official payroll here and without a registered entity they can’t pay PF. How does this salary thing works in this case?
And do we have to pay taxes for both the countries?

Reason for asking: I was watching “Silicon Valley” and there was an episode where Pied Pieper hires 3 engineers from India, Pak and Europe without having any official offices in those country. How would they pay their salaries?
Also, read somewhere on Medium that few people are working this way and getting paid $ equivalent of their salaries. If anyone knows anything about this kindly share info on comments.

This is my first post. I wanted your input on switching my completely in-office job (mandatory 5 days in office with zero scope for WFH unless for emergencies). 

I’m looking for a remote-first company and willing to switch for 35-40% hike from my current CTC.

I’m holding another job offer currently (30%hike) - during the initial screening they offered me Hybrid but after interviews they stated it’s mandatory WFO. 

Can anyone advise how the markets are looking and what expectations I should hold on to while on the job hunt?  Any referrals in a remote-first organisation  would be much appreciated.

Expectation: Remote or Hybrid but location needs to be in Mumbai.

So I'm a trainee rn and have been thinking of making a switch (later, not immediately). I'm really drawn to the prospects remote jobs offer. But there's gotta be some fine print. I mean it can't be the exactly the rosy picture techbros paint all the time.

So I want to know the stuff nobody really talks about in detail. Like how are you taxed : are there bands, etc. How is the work life balance like? Does working remotely full-time with people from all around the world feel the same as working in a multicultural office? Is it sustainable over a long period of time?

Remote work - the nitty-gritty.

I've seen so many job descriptions. Most of these global companies who have offices everywhere in the world; they give an option to work remotely for almost all countries except India. 

Take this company for example. They have remote options on every location. However, in India they want 3 days per week mandatory hybrid. Why is that? Why can't they provide remote for India branches too? Or make every other location as onsite/hybrid.

Why do these global companies doesn't provide remote options for India?

What is the scene of US remote Jobs availability for indians. Whenever I try to convince that these are rare and needs highly specific skillset & experience in an area, i see a twitter post or YT video explaining how they got one ( No useful stuff tho). Lot of FOMO yaar..

Love to hear your views on this. If anyone actually got one, congrats 🎆.
