For eg currently I make 85k in wfh, i am getting in mumbai at 18 lpa fixed. I was trying to estimate in terms of monetory will it be a benefit
I can tell you with 100% confidence that you're better off with 85k wfh. With 18lpa fixed you will probably recieve an amount between 1.2-1.3 per month, 30k of which would go in renting a semi decent room. Other expenses would easily add up to 20-30k atleast too. But, living in Mumbai is a vibe and I suggest you don't look at this plainly from a monetary perspective
Why would he receive 1.2-1.3? Do you mean post tax? If that's what you're referring to then he'll receive even less post tax
But yes living in Mumbai >>>. The best thing to do is to jumpship and you have a better chance to get a better package in your next job
If bkc, then it's costly but finance companies are mostly in powai so the cost would be 50k for 2bhk and you can share it with a flatmate. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Mumbai is imo the best place in India, going out at night, enjoying, in general the people in powai is just vibe. Bangalore is shit in front of Mumbai

Andheri East is close to powai but not exactly in powai. Good place to live but rents are towards the expensive side. You can definitely find cheap flats within 50-60k range for 2bhk. Hope you enjoy your time in Mumbai ☺️. I have now moved to bangalore but the warmth of that place has left an indelible mark on my heart <3
In BKC the 1BHK rent goes for 30-45k. You can share that with someone which will lessen the burden on your pocket. As far as food and other expenses go..it’s entirely upto you.
Let me give you rough idea- if you into saving and living a decent life, stick to that 85k wfo. If you are into "feeling the vibe" then don't worry. You will easily find company of people who spend their life living in a apartment smaller than their shoebox, eating vadapav for breakfast and going to the crowded marine drive in the evening and posting on Instagram - "Mumbai is a vibe"

Chakala has direct metro connectivity till dahisar. Even if you get a flat a MaKaBo at low cost, you will reach your office within 30 mins and end up saving around 50pc rent.
Sorry what is Makabo and what are thr average rates in that area?
Malad, kandivali, borivali. Rates are around or less than 35k for 2bhk for a decent flat. Andheri, parle, bandra flat area is relatively smaller than what you get in MaKaBo. All you need to do is get a flat near a metro station. My travel time from Borivali to Andheri had reduced to 30-35 mins which was more than 90mins before metro started this feb .
