I'm on the verge of receiving an offer from Microsoft for an SDE2 L62 position, despite my roughly 7 years of experience. Would this level be appropriate, or should I consider negotiating for an L63 position? Additionally, could you provide insights into the maximum budget for L62, including base salary, variable pay, and RSUs? My current base salary is close to 50 LPA with no other components. Received an offer from Microsoft

You should go for Microsoft even if it isn't optimal at the moment in terms of cash component. In the long run this will pay off by opening a lot more doors in tier1 and FAANG companies or you might get chance to also move onsite to US where you can earn a lot more. ESOPs have no value until the startups make an exit - where the odds are highly against you. Probability would be less than 1%. I've worked with multiple startups and learnt this the hard way. Also as you move up the levels, it gets increasingly more competitive to get into tier1 companies. So get into it while you can.. and think of long term than short term salary deficit. It will pay off..

Hey guys, so I have been interning at a company for the past 9 months. They have offered me a ppo and I will most likely accept it. But my interest lies in the ML field or some data fields such as data engineering. 
Can anyone advice me how do I go about it?
Like should go for masters(my undergrad degree is not CS or some pheonix branch). Should I learn on my own and keep giving interview. Or should I take some experience in sde and then switch?
