Saw this tweet in the morning, got so fucking annoyed that put in all the effort to find the marketing spends of Ola Electric from their IPO filings

Why tf does he have to pick a fight out of everything and make everything a lafda - off late he's been doing this too much.

Theek hai bhai, start another new thing before fixing existing businesses. Bring in nationalism into everything. Ather toh Made in India hai bhai and yes, they've built a 10x better machine compared to your toy.

Ban jao bhai desh bhakt - congrats on succesfully doing lafda everywhere :)

He's just trying to ride the wave as his organisation doesn't have a clear long term vision. He has also brought in his brother and made it like a family business.

Now that he has already scaled in major cities, he can afford to do this type of PR. As in the next level of cities of the hinterland, discounts and financing matter more than the promotional material.

Bhavish is a hypocrite. Now leaving that aside, your effort and analysis does not reflect what you want it to say. It shows that have reduced marketing and ad costs year on year. And this year, it's come down to 1% of sales. That's low! So, you are proving his point for him. Tch tch. I don't want to be put in a place where I accidently prove Bhavish correct

Point to be proven is not them reducing marketing spends over time, it's about him trying to diss a superior product just because they did marketing

My point is Ola Electric has spent SO much $$ on marketing and advertisements, nothing wrong with it - just don't pick a dogfight because another competitor is trying to do some campaigns.

In absolute $$, they spent $7mil last year - ofcourse they are much much bigger than Ather, killer execution on their part. This has been due to great marketing they've done, not due to a superior product.

Doesn't matter what he does, will never be able to look upto him irrespective of whatever he builds - he's built that reputation for himself.

To be fair, the 184÷ number looks super inflated due to COVID reducing revenue from operations substantially in that FY. Overall, the marketing and ads spend otherwise looks reasonable. But do agree with you otherwise, the guy is a hypocrite in other cases
