- SEBI noted non-compliances, highlighting transactions exceeding approved limits by Rs 360 crore.
- Paytm asserts compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations but SEBI warns of future enforcement actions for non-compliance.
- Earlier this year, RBI imposed business restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank, affecting its core operations.

- The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Bengaluru has admitted BCCI's petition for insolvency proceedings against Byju's over unpaid dues of Rs 158 crore.
- Byju's had a sponsorship contract with BCCI for the Indian cricket team, and the petition was filed last year against its parent company, Think & Learn Pvt Ltd.
- The matter is set for further hearing on November 15, with Byju's previously stating it was in talks with BCCI to settle the issue.
- Tech investor Prosus wrote off its 9.6% stake in Byju's during the financial year 2024, citing a significant decrease in value for equity investors.
- A year-long probe by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs found lapses in corporate governance at Byju's but cleared it of financial fraud, attributing mounting losses to weak governance and compliance practices.

When Hindenburg Research released its report last year accusing the Adani Group of fraud, its motive was clear. Hindenburg would short the Adani companies, their stock prices would go down because of its report, Hindenburg would make money.

Earlier this month Hindenburg released another report accusing SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch of, I don’t know, possible conflict of interest when it comes to Adani? SEBI hasn’t done much about all the fraud accusations against Adani, but it did investigate Hindenburg itself for what it thinks is insider trading.

But SEBI is a regulator! Not a company! There is no SEBI stock for Hindenburg to short. Whatever was Hindenburg hoping to get out of this report? It’s very unlikely it expected the entire Indian market or even the Adani stocks to fall with this report. If you have ideas, let me know.

Hindenburg’s main accusation was that Madhabi Puri Buch had invested in the same fund which had been used to invest in the Adani companies to pump up their stock prices. Roughly, here’s what transpired:

It’s high time Kamath brothers should focus on product. Some recent zero-goof ups - 

1. A simple disclaimer (as mandated by SEBI) is popping up every time. Other brokers provided a check box with not to show this again. Don’t know how long it will take zerodha to solve this friction point

2. SEBI investigations revealed they are using a 4 Mbps line which led to multiple trade losses

3. Groww is inching closer on the active users, in fact they launched the index fund before zerodha

I know both brothers have made generational wealth and keep making more money in times to come. Still want zerodha to focus and work for a better product.
