Hey folks, I’m a product manager based in EU working on a fantasy product to be launched soon. 

Need some advice on which platform to use to build a fantasy app. The current app that I support is build in flutter and it’s extremely laggy and doesn’t support have any native iOS gestures. I’m super impressed with grapevines app and I assume it’s built using react native. 

For my fantasy app, I never thought, react native could be an option but grapevine performance has impressed me. 

Some context on the fantasy app - it’s a standard fantasy app where users could build teams and join a league. There is no payment method integration, nor there will be any complex third party integrations.

1. Bugs: We are hard at work trying to solve all the bugs that have slowly crept into Grapevine 😶

2. DMs: A polite way for users to take a few conversations deeper, and share referrals/resumes if they want to. A key worry for us would be to not make this spammy (like a few users pointed out on a recent post), while still staying helpful. 

3. Experience: A smoother, more fluid app experience coming soon

4. Moderation: As posts and comments on Grapevine increase in number - there's also a small 0.1% of users that sometimes post abusive/offensive content. We're taking these issues more seriously. We read every 'report' that you share with us and take action appropriately

5. Grapevine on Web (I swear the first build is super exciting - I'm typing this post out on an early version of Grapevine Web 😉). This should allow people to browse Grapevine while in a boring meeting 😂

6. Salaries: We're building something exciting for better salary information 💰

7. Verification: You may have seen some users on Grapevine are now verified with a blue check. Currently only launched for employees of 3 companies, we'll launch this soon for more companies. This is how we'll raise the bar on trust within Grapevine. And no, we never plan to charge for blue ticks like some other platforms. It's just a darn image ☑️

I was just wondering what Grapevine’s tech stack is. The app seems pretty good.

I was working with a redux to implement a feed like instagram and storing the data in redux.. but problem occurs if I just increase the number of items in feed, let say 10k, then perform different actions like like the post or upvote the post, taking time to show in UI... so what I did was make a local state (useSate()) for each post item for the like, and unlike then, I am updating the store and server for optimistic ui update.. but creating a separate local state and also maintaining a redix state, is it a good practice? Can I know a good solution in terms of large-scale applications like facebook instagram and what they do?

1. If I need referrals from someone, there is no way to get it without disclosing my email in public.

2. The best time to scroll reddit is when you are in a meet. For that I use desktop version of reddit.

Skills: Python + DSA (Intermediate), HTML, CSS, JS (Intermediate).

In 2021 I was preparing for government job and was really passionate about govt services but I failed in CDS II 2021 and lose all of my focus and my parents want me to get a job in related field so in January 2022 I started looking for job in IT but I was not good at anything and so I thought I wasn't job ready and start learning to Python and DSA and Web Development but in meantime I procrastinated and wasted so much of my time I was demotivated with zero focus and after months I am still not good at anything I don't have anything to show on my resume no projects, no experience nothing.

I have wasted more than a year just thinking what should I do and got nowhere. Lately I started to learn web dev from theodinproject.com and have completed foundations. Tbh i wasted time during this learning phase also and manage to complete this in a month. And after that I started to learn reactjs (haven't completed it yet)

And now I am really desperate for a job. What should I do to get a job with minimum preparation like give 1 months and get a job? I am not looking for something specific. I don't have any goals. ATM I have no idea what I am passionate about.

I'm 24 and unemployed and How can I turn my life around? All those years in school and college I never worked hard enough but now I regret it. I want to work hard now but have been procrastinating a lot. I need guidance on how to get a job and what to learn further to get a job. 

I would really appreciate it if you guys can guide me.
