Seeking Insights into Data Analytics Projects

I am a fresher working as a Data analyst in a growing startup. My current role doesn't include much of coding just python and SQL and sometimes little bit ML work. Currently handling 2 projects, and some of PM work to define some roadmaps. I like engineering and coding in whole and want to know more. So do I switch to some SDE role or is there are more paths after Data analytics? I know ML, DL and NLP but not sure will it be a great choice to make career primarily in Data science. So, I am little confused. Please give all good advices. Thanks A curious Engineer

Hi all Analytics folks, I need your help, suggestion and whatever you can in python project in data analytics. I have a couple of doubts in it. I'm a data analyst having 2 year of experience while i know python but never worked in it. I used SAS and SQL. I'm giving interviews since couple of months and I'm realizing interviewers aren't so happy from the project i did in my company, it's sort of reconciliation ane validation. 1. Now I want to build some portfolio project in python specifically in data analytics(excluding any ML algorithms) but unable to find any. I'm searching projects in marketing customer segmentation and risk analytics but i found everyone is using ML in these projects. Can't it be done without using ML or I'll have to use ML algos and core stats in building portfolio project. 2. What you guys do in your day to day work in python. Ratio of your work in python, sql, excel and other tech stacks. Excluding ML coz I'm not focusing on it for now. Note: pls help your buddy 🙏🙏

I have been working in Analytics since close to 3 years and been wondering what would be the best way to pivot to data science/machine learning as all the roles require atleast 3 years of hands on experience which I don't have unfortunately..... I've done couple of mini projects on Data science but hiring managers don't seem to be impressed as they would be looking for someone with production environment exposure. so my question is how do you show you are competent enough w/o significant hands on experience?

I have 2.5 years of experience on CCM technologies(primarily OpenText Exstream) but am not satisfied with it as it's not open source, I am not able to learn it from anywhere on the internet in free hours or while on bench and the project work is the same repetitive type of work. So thinking of switching in the DevOps or Data analytics domain. But not able to fix which one to choose. Please guide me which has good career growth in future and how to proceed. I’ve worked for different companies and my experience varied a lot. One my previous employer didn’t want to invest in mixpanel / product analytics tool and we ended up configuring each event manually and passed it on to redshift. Due to this we just had too much of dependency on analytics. Compare to it now I only take there help when I want to get some correlation or major exploration done. How has been your experience so far?
