A lot of people at Unacademy have already resigned, and they are unable to hire replacements from the market( for who knows what reasons). Now as we all know people who are left in the organisation are going to have a tough time. 

Leaves not being approved, longer hours at work, mental harassment in the name of being available 24*7  is becoming a day to day thing. Now they are forcing people to take up sections of business one has never dealt with and are threatening to fire them if they are denying those roles. 

People who left the organisation in 2022 are the luckiest and well a bunch of well informed individuals who saw the end of this company before anyone else could have. 

What a time to be in edtech, indeed

ReshaMandi, a startup that raised over $40 Mn in equity funding, is facing insolvency pleas and has allegedly coerced employees to join another company, Genzr Solutions Private Limited, leaving hundreds of former employees awaiting salary dues.

- ReshaMandi's downfall was attributed to rapid expansion across various verticals, revenue inflation, and financial mismanagement, including inflated revenue, fake vendors, and loan defaults.

- ReshaMandi's founders and management personnel have joined Genzr, a seemingly unrelated company, raising questions about the acquisition and the funding received from an unrelated source.

- The failure of ReshaMandi has raised concerns about VCs investing without adequate due diligence and the accountability of investors and founders for the company's financial situation and treatment of employees.

How much returns do they get when an acquisition happens?

What are the odds of making money.? I know a few who didn't even make any money.

How often founder get a profitable exit?

Asking this on behalf of many founders like myself, wanted to collate across multiple inputs: what is it that VCs really want to hear/see from a startup? 

Would love to get inputs from VCs and other founders alike - basis your experience on what has worked what hasn't worked.

The usual suspects: obviously the founder credentials, TAM, insights, metrics. But, what else? 
Look forward to informed answers.

In a landmark deal, Silicon Valley powerhouse General Catalyst has acquired Venture Highway, a seed-stage investment firm with a track record of backing winners like Meesho and Mobile Premier League.

The Deal:
- Rare instance of consolidation in the Indian VC market
- VH to be rebranded as General Catalyst India
- GC plans to invest $500 million to $1 billion in India over the next three years
- Acquisition driven by desire to build strong local team and tap into local LP network

But the move also raises important questions. Will this trigger a wave of consolidation in the Indian VC market? Bg: top 5 IIT, 2 years of PM experience where I led two major 0-1 products to completion independently and had a direct revenue impact of around 25 Cr.
At a crossroad in my career where a top partner in a tier 1/2 VC firm wants me join his investment team (nothing concrete, just expressed his interest in a gathering). Was curious as to how the VC career ladder looks like! I was always interested in a VC career. Just afraid, whether there will be any exit options say 5 years down the line if I want to move out or get stuck. 
All advice, opinion, help will be appreciated. Thanks!
