Should I Keep Going with This Interview?

Do hiring managers not go ahead with a candidate if they feel intimated or feel the candidate is better than them? You know you have answered most questions well but you get a rejection mail after 3 rounds of interview. Just curious.

I recently interviewed at a startup for a Backend role. I cleared the initial take-home assignment round and subsequent DSA round and their HR told me the third round would be a Design round. I prepared accordingly. At the time of the interview, no one showed up. I had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to show up. Instead of asking me a Design question, the latecomer asked me another DSA question. I asked him why is he doing that as it was clearly communicated to be a Design round. The interviewer said Design would be asked in the next round if I clear this one. Weird! He only gave me 10 minutes to come up with the solution. After that he spilled the answer, and cut the call abruptly. I get a rejection email the next day. Now why am I writing this post? Because I just saw the CTO of thar company rant on Linkedin about how his candidates declined their offer letters at the last minute. The moral of the story is that if you misbehave with your candidates, they will misbehave with you. So be prepared to take the L.

I decided to start applying and taking interviews after a 6-7 months break. Didn’t crack a good offer last time and dropped the idea of switching then. I find myself struggling with making my responses deep and well rounded specifically product sense and design questions. While I try to follow a framework and manage to effectively take the interview along that, I realise the content is shallow be it user segmentation, needs, pain points and solutions where I really run out of thoughts. I have close to 5 years of experience in PMing and have done decent in the products I owned but somehow just not able to get through certain interview expectations. Should I take a break from applying for preparation or continue taking interviews and learn alongside? Any specific recommendations to make the content rich?

I had my last hiring manager round 2 days ago at Glance. It went really well and the lady who interviewed me was friendly and was telling me about the team I'm going to join if I join. But it's been two days but I didn't hear anything back from HR. I tried to follow up but no reply. What do you guys think, should I have any hope or let it go.

I am a 2023 grad and I have been looking for a entry level product role. I was interning with a startup but couldn’t get full time due to funding issues. Have got a offer as Senior Business Analyst (recruiter said it’s Product Analyst don’t why they call it BA and interviewer said not much difference between APM and this role work wise). Been facing the dilemma of whether to take it or keep looking for a new role. Not sure what to do. Comp is 10L, notice period -2 months. Bootstrapped startup and I have a engineering background (CS)

What's this obsession of startups ghosting after taking assignments from you. It's so irritating and they just can't value your time and efforts

Which company did you have the worst interview experience with?

I am interviewing for Kirana Club, I want to know is it a good company to join from personal growth and other aspects? If you don't know, please suggest how to evaluate such companies.

So i joined this mature startup 10 months back, and my role as per JD was team leader. Till date I am doing the IC role and doing all day sales calls. I have highlighted the same to my manager and skip level, but always getting answer like it is new product, market situation is no good, we believe in lean structure etc. I am tired of doing same shit everyday. What’s your suggestion?
