You can't target ISB Hyderabad. Never say this in interviews if you get a shortlist. You can target ISB. Campus decisions are decided by the school and not by merit: it's random.

I am planning to give the GMAT this year. My Target B-school is ISB- Hyderabad 
I am 24. I graduated from NIT Nagpur in 2021. Since then working as a software developer 
Work ex of 2.5 years in the software industry.

My main intention is to shift out from the software industry and get into consulting role

If I have a good GMAT is it possible to get into ISB given that I am from IT domain.

I'm a 28-year-old guy currently employed as a data scientist at a Fortune 500 company, earning a respectable annual salary of 24 lakhs. Lately, I've been contemplating pursuing an MBA, but I haven't initiated my GMAT preparation yet. I'm wondering if it's a wise move to transition my career in this direction. I've heard that individuals with a tech background who graduate from IIM/ISB might need to begin their careers anew, typically with a salary in the range of 27 to 28 lakhs. I'm standing at a career crossroads and could really use some perspective.
Profile : 
-YOE-3yrs. 
-2 years in a technical role and
- 1year working as a Project manager in a well known MNC.
- Graduated from a well-known T-2 college engineering college. 

I've always wanted to be in a managerial role. I feel like I'd definitely do better in such a role, in the long run.

I'm considering going for an MBA at ISB, but – the idea of taking on a 45-lakh loan is giving me pause. Coming from a middle-class background, it's a significant financial commitment. 

Plus, the job outlook for Product roles is fuzzy, and I'm not entirely sold on the consulting scene either. 
The big question is whether an MBA from ISB would really pay off. 

If you've gone through a similar decision-making process or have insights, navigating a career shift post-MBA, or just general advice on making a call like this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.
