Software engineers how do youdeal with notice epriod?
Companies arent looking forward to hire me if I say I have 3 months notice period. If say I have 10-30 days of notice period, and if I do land a opportunity, how can I join the newer company on immediate basis without serving 3 motnhs. Buyout option is by having to pay the equivalent of 3 months, which goes beyond 200k. I am not willing to pay a company this much amount, given I only earned 300k from them. Should I first apply for notice period and then start interviewing or first land an opporutnity and then apply for notice period.
Paying companies in the buyout does not sound legal. You are not a slave. If I were you, I would have left the moment they forced me to a 3 month notice period. Even one month sounds illegal to me. 10 days, take whatever knowledge transfer you need and leave me alone.
