Not worth to take a loan and go abroad in today’s scenario. Most people are returning back with a huge loan and looking for jobs in India then. Design is taught the same in any country. Those who go abroad to enjoy and their families can afford thats a different thing. But not worth to take a loan

Stay in india. Get a masters from IIT Bombay. Crack Microsoft/Google and enjoy good salary and healthy life.  
 You might even get a chance to move to US/Europe if not, earn save and travel the world.

Wouldn’t want to pursue a masters degree in design from India. Since I already have a formal bachelors degree and the course content is more or less the same for bachelors and masters. Would rather learn on the job. 
  
 Only ever thought of pursuing it abroad because student visa is (or atleast used to be) the best way to get hired in the USA

I always planned on doing masters after completing two years of experience. But with the current market scenario, is it worth going to USA to pursue masters in HCI ? I’m stressed about not getting h1b visa and also having to pay the loan if the market continues to be bad. 
Also, would love to know if anyone has done and is practicing as a ux designer in Germany, Netherlands? What are the prospects in Europe?

Hi guys , I am working as a Software Engineer and found interest towards UX design .So in the learning journey to switch my career into UX design.Also,I have a plan of doing MS in HCI.will it be worth it? Which country is best for HCI masters and will it give value to a UX designer?

Background : I am a product designer with a few  years of experience in the industry. I already have a B.Des degree and I'm seeing that the standard route for people with my background is to do a masters in design. 

From my time working I've seen that people who are good designers irrespective of whether they have some sort of design degree or not are doing well. Which makes me unsure whether I should take up masters or not. This might be a very biased take since the sample size is very small.

All in all, I wanted to understand if a masters degree holds a high valuation like in other industries.

I started my career a bit late compared to my peers because of some bad decisions in past but I was able to get back on track and gain industry experience . Since past year I realized I haven't grown much career wise . I had plans to pursue Masters earlier but postponed it because of COVID and I realised it's better to gain some experience before going abroad. 
I didn't want to pursue a traditional CS Masters degree since I wanted to explore and learn something new . That's when I came across HCI and over the months my interest in it has deepened . I did take some courses related to HCI and UX to get better understanding.

I have fairly decent front end skillset with good basics in HTML, CSS , JavaScript and ReactJS . Started learning Figma recently

I want to land jobs as UX Engineer where I do a bit of design and coding . I have got admits from good universities which have specialization in HCI . I wanted to know if it's a good decision to go for masters now and pursue this field .

Is Masters in HCI worth it ?

I am currently working as an Industrial Designer at a Startup ( 14 LPA ). I have a Master’s Degree in Design from Indian Institute of Science. I am not finding jobs and am very confused about wether to continue as an Industrial Designer since I see very less demand as of now. Hi,

I am currently working as an software developer (5+ years experience)with around 40LPA CTC. 

Most of the people in my circle have gone there 2-3 years back.

Now I am having a fear of missing out, I applied for a few universities and I have got an admit in MS in CS. 

Is it worth it to migrate to another country and start again at this point of my career? What is your opinion on work in USA compared to India?

Job Help...need advice!

I don't think I have a future in India. In about 2 years, proposals for marriage will start coming for me and family members will start harassing me for it. Also, would like to find a partner (which is quite impossible here). I am a product designer and want to move out of this country as soon as the job market is stable.

How can I move to US/Western Europe apart from doing masters as a product designer? Do companies hire product designers from other countries? Or is it more easy as engineer?

Please don't troll here, I am already depressed all the time and can't handle it more
