Strategy for practicing DSA problems?

I’m a college grad from IIT in CSE. I haven’t done any competitive coding or any proper coding during my college days for that matter. I have lost confidence in myself for some reason. I had taken up a business job but left it in a few months because I thought I could do better. I want to do competitive coding but as soon as I open my laptop, anxiety kicks in. I need guidance on how to proceed and what recourses should I use. I don’t want to waste my degree as I feel I can do better than my previous job. Please help me on fighting my demons.

I'm a backend engineer with 6+ YoE. I have never had interest in solving DSA problems. I started off as being very bad at it- I did understand the technical details behind various data structures and algorithms, but never had that passion about applying it to various leetcode problems. Over time, I have got better with DSA, but I still can't say I am at a great level- I still often struggle with Leetcode-medium problems. I am confident of being a decent engineer- with a nice mix of tech and soft skills and an interest in building things. I also have some aspiration of joining a Faang company (or other such top-level company); but I feel overwhelmed at how "good" it requires you to be in DSA. So, I wish to know- how good do I need to be at DSA before I can realistically apply at such companies, given my YoE. And, how may I possibly gauge how far away I still am from that "required level"?

As a Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience, can you guys please guide me on preparation for DSA. Consider my current knowledge about DSA 0. How should I start? Approx how much time it will take? How should I know what topics are more frequently asked at my level? Any DSA plan for 0 to hero in DSA? Apart from DSA I’m also preparing for HLD and LLD and I’d love to have recommendations from you folks about how to prepare these and where to prepare these from? Also, if I’m missing something in my prep do let me know

Hi everyone, I got my answer in my previous post, I have another query, I have around 2 year of experience, I am going to have a 30 minutes Phone screen, first call with HR, she said it’s going to be just casual talks, what can I expect in that call? If any idea, please share. Also, I did fair amount of CP and DSA during college days, it’s been a while and I need to brush up my problem solving skills, so if she asks how much do you want before scheduling your first interview, asking for how much time is safe? Also, Please share some important topics which I should be focusing on the most, Thank you! I also bought LC premium to prepare for this, read a lot of positive reviews about it. For non-faang but good start-ups or Product Based orgs, How much DSA enough, I keep on forgetting the concepts when I revisit question again.

I have 6 YOE as QA. First 3 years I was into manual testing and now since past 3 years, I am an SDET with tech stack- python, pytest , playwright, selenium. I am planning for the job switch now. I have not used much of DSA in my work. However I understand DSA is a must to clear interviews. I need help in preparation. From where and How to start the preparation? Please update your strategies , so that it will be helpful for all those preparing for interviews.

Any DSA solvers? First time solving DSA and preparing myself to switch to better product based companies for higher package. My question is: When I solve LeetCode, I am able to understand the question, come up with initial approach too but without looking into solution or explanation I am unable to solve it completely!😢 while watching a Youtube videos I am perfectly able to understand and solve the problem but when I solve a problem alone(without any resource) or live solve in mock interviews, I am stuck.. Anyone's gone thru the same phase, how to uplift myself from here? TIA

Hi guys, I have been into development for almost 5+ yrs but had never been into DSA Preparation. As after such time I have been trying to learn DSa thoroughly but the topics seems very difficult some time or I forgot things had to visit again and again. These things making it very difficult to maintain consistency and regularity in learning. At times it feels to leave the thought of applying at faang. Have any solutions or similar issues?.

Recently i had changed my job, previously WFH now new job WFO. I constantly feel that i may loose my job and i had to take some medicine for this as well. Doctor told me i was having pessimistic thinking and was depressed. I am the sole earning memeber of my home, 23 father dead, mother remains ill. Sister small in college. I am in constant fear and this thing is eating me alive.
