Stressed out - need guidance - mba entrance

So I left my job in Jan 2024 after 3.4 yoe. I wish to switch my profile to HR, and therefore, I wish to pursue an MBA degree. Now the problem starts: my family is pressuring me that if I'm unable to convert any good colleges, how will I justify my gap year so I should take up a job. I don't wish to take up a job since I want to focus entirely on CAT prep. They are also pressurising me that if I'm unable to convert, then I will have to start from scratch in HR with a low salary and they wish to see me married within next 2-3 years so why would a nice guy marry a girl who is earning 25k-30k a month. So I'm really stressed out. What should I do? Take up a job and then prepare for entrance, or ignore them and just focus on prep, like what's the solution? Everyone is talking about the problem, what's the solution?

You want to pursue an MBA, just do it. Don't listen to what anyone has to say. However, be realistic. There are always ifs and Buts especially in a Country like ours where there are fewer seats and more people. So incase this doesn't work, what would your future look like.. Plan it out.. Which are the colleges you want to get in, which are your backups.. How are the placements like..what is the average salary...You are young, you can afford to take risks. Worst case you start from the beginning. That's still not the end of the world.. Best case you end up with an MBA from a very good college. All the best šŸ‘šŸ’Æ

Focus on prep but keep a backup too, I'm assuming you to be a girl, if your salary somehow increases to 50K P.M then it ll be alright. Most nice guys will come to you , provided you re authentic in ur approach.

Try for Top HR Colleges like TISS meanwhile and figure it out.
