Hello fellow PMs

I am giving my first ever tech round when it comes to PM interviews. What should I expect? How to answer?

Can anyone share their experiences please? 🙏🙏🙏

And in general if the PM role is in a more technical team, you can expect to be asked basic questions around system design which demonstrates your understanding of the core concepts so that you aren’t completely lost while discussing with the tech team. Things like microservices vs monolith architecture and the trade offs. Load balancing (Horizontal vs vertical scaling)- when to use what. Basics of APIs.
Functional vs non functional requirements while working on a feature etc Having an understanding of these concepts will be great in any technical product interview

I loved the book Tech Simplified for pms by Deepak Singh. It’s a simple non assuming book which teaches you the basic concepts quite effectively.

Okay. Has anyone got deep into the specific features or problems you worked in your previous roles? If not, you can expect to be talking a lot more into the details of why you did what you did and how it impacted your product.

Will be focused on product development. Coordination with engineers. User stories, acceptance criteria. How you run a scrum team if that’s is what that company follows or details about APIs, SQL and DBs.
