Hello Grapevine fam, I want to share my story and get everyone's suggestions on how to proceed. I have been working with this startup for more than two years. Recently, my manager and HR head called me for a meeting and said I wasn't living up to their expectations and they wanted me to resign. In the same discussion they said, the company would be paying 2 months salary as severance pay and my LWD would be in June since the notice period here is 2 months and this would help me in my job hunt. So having faith in this company, I resigned. Right after that my manager and the HR head is not legally acknowledging the two months of my salary as severance pay. And the very same day, they sent me the experience letter which had the same day as my last working day, despite them mentioning my LWD would be in June. How do I proceed now? I have given my best to the company in the last two years. But things turned out this way, very dejected and disappointed with the startup.

Guys & gals, I've been put on 3 months notice. Been working from home, my company (a startup) suddenly wants me to come to the office but I can't relocate immediately due to financial & familial responsibilities, so they're laying me off. I have 2.5 yoe with Angular, but am extremely interested in learning other tech too (React/Vue/any other frontend framework, mobile dev with React Native/Ionic, Node/Go for backend). I'm confident that I'll be able to pick stuff up quickly with a bit of time & support. Prefer WFH but I'm open to relocation if the offer is good enough. Would appreciate any leads 🙏 I'm the sole earner in the family and the news has shaken me up mentally. Things are tense at home because of the strained finances. Been applying from the past 2 weeks but no calls yet (early I know, but still). At this point I'll take any opportunity to keep afloat.

Hello folks - I recently completed 10 months at Grapevine, and wanted to write a public shoutout to my boss @Micheal_Scott What stood out the most for me is the general empathy he has shown. I have a leg injury now, but previously used to be really excellent at playing hockey. One day @Micheal_Scott got slightly angry at something I said (I was just trying to make him aware of DM bug) and he broke my leg into pieces with my hockey stick. But out of a strong heart, he immediately took me to the hospital and put a fake leg on me. Comment "Kudos" if you appreciate @Micheal_Scott.

Hello Folks, So recently I came across a post on grapevine where a guy from XYZ company got laid off and he posted that he just got laid off and looking for job, That's it and nothing else and this post got so much engagement like people are commenting about open roles in their company, some are referring him and some are giving suggestions and all. Now few days ago I also wrote a post that I am graduating in 2024 and how I have 1.5 years of production grade internship experience and does not have full time offer but my post hardly received any traction and all I got was 2 comment where one guy asked for my stipend and another told that I should not aim for job paying lower than 1 lakh per month, this and that. So why people are not helping new graduates but are helping the laid off people, I have seen this on all platform like linkedin twitter, what's the reason for this?
