Life is undoubtedly a journey filled with unique struggles for everyone. As a child, I wasn't aware of life's luxuries—I believed I had everything I needed. Looking back, I realize that having modest expectations truly made life richer. My education was sponsored by an NGO (whose name I still don’t know), and this experience shaped my vision: to give back to the community that supported me.

I was fortunate to have food on the table, a roof over my head, decent clothes, and a good school to attend. But to me, life isn't about what you own; it's about what you can give, whether it’s in your name or someone else’s. 

Life is the greatest teacher, and its lessons are the most profound.

I've encountered many people who constantly compare their lives to others:

*"He scored more than me."*  
*"She got something better."*  
*"I only have this much."*

But I grew up with the bare minimum—hand-me-down clothes from elder cousins, a pizza perhaps once a year, and even a simple chocobar was a luxury. 

These experiences taught me that life's true value lies not in material possessions but in the richness of our hearts and the generosity of our spirit.

Take this moment to thank my first manager. She changed my entire career and helped my realise true potential. 

I come from a tier 2 college. Come from a very lower middle class family, thanks to my parents who ensured I got everything for my education without worrying about anything. Topped my 10th board and then fumbled in 12th. Joined a tier 2 private college. Did engineering got placed somehow and then found the manager who changed my life and realised how much importance a manager has. She scolded me but helped me with my mistakes learned everything from her. Started at a salary of 5 lpa then in just 6 years of my journey I have reached a base salary of 80lpa as a director of product management. Although I left the first company after 3.5 years but whatever I learned from her has shaped me to what I am. I truly believe and hard work in initial part of my career and I believe without hardwork one cannot achieve top 1% things... My mantra is to give my 100% and even more in the initial part of career then enjoy everything. Today I am able to provide everything to my family. I have enough time, money and health to support myself and my family.

Just a gratitude post. Hard work always pays off. 

My work ex will be 6 years in April btw...

Today on Saturday I got a call from office grandma ( 20 years in same company) , she started arguing that I didn't sent her the update and showed me her what's app screenshot. I noticed that there is no net sign on top near battery indicator. 
What the hell, why companies keep such people , they have 0% technology knowledge, can't use decent tools , don't know gmail interface . Why the hell ?

Are boomers really needed if they don't have skills ?

What role did your mothers play in your life while you were growing up? Also how is everyone tackling the various situations which come up as they are growing old

I'll start: a super smart women who sacrificed her own career for the sake of me and my brother, and now that I feel I have achieved a lot that she is really proud of I wish I could give her the world and life ahead full of new experiences! ❤️❤️

Mother's Day Special

A faded memory dawned on me early this morning while commuting to work, as I saw few kids leaving for school. 

A few years back, I was teaching underprivileged children in a distant government school as a part of a social initiative.

We asked kids, What do you want to become when you grow up?”

I really felt humbled and privileged when the kids responded with Policeman, Driver, Mechanic, Patwari(govt official who keeps record of lands) etc. 

We even remarked that whether they would prefer to be a pilot. And they responded with No. Perhaps, it was representative of things that they knew could achieve and things they could not.

It may even have been that their initial choices were likely due to positions of power that they had witnessed and wanted to emulate. Probably, they were not exposed to various options that exist out there.

As my cab whirred away, I was left with a deep sense of gratitude upon recollection of those memories. 

I really hope those kids achieve whatever they set their sights at.

I grew up in a small village in Bihar, where dreams were often simple and humble. There was only a small government school, but I never went. Instead, I worked in a vegetable shop and my uncle's store, dreaming of having my own shop one day. 
  
 Then I found work in a cyber cafe, and the internet opened up a new world to me. I discovered a university in Delhi NCR and earned a scholarship there. I graduated with honors and now work at a fintech as an APM. 
  
 I know I wasn't supposed to be here, but I am. People believed in me, and I made it. Next time you find yourself among those kids, tell them about the skies and how it feels to soar.  Who knows? Maybe one day they'll take to the skies, not just as pilots but as legends, their wings crafted by the belief that they can be more than what the world expects them to be.
