McKinsey consultant commits suicide due to work pressure :(
This is truly truly heartbreaking to hear.
The fact that Mck tried to cover up its name in investigation is sad
As I am reading articles on LinkedIn about this 25-year old's suicide, it seems more and more like the corporate version of Sushant Singh Rajput's death/suicide.
It is extremely sad that people are trying to milk this and gain some views / increase their reach.
It is doubly sad that people are nonchalantly calling him "weak" and trying to pin the blame of his weakness on educational institutions, family, office etc..
I would like to pose the same question which was posed at the end of the movie Bhakshak:
"Doosron ke dukh mein samvedansheel hona bhool gaye Hain kya? Kya ab bhi hum apni ginti insanon mein karte hain, ya khud ko Bhakshak Maan liya hai humne?"
Absolutely gut wrenching, how low people can get with these issues.
McKinsey's loss is tragic, but blaming institutions is a cheap shot. It's a dog-eat-dog world. Survival of the fittest, my friends.
Indeed, it's a tragedy. But remember, blaming institutions is easy, finding solutions is hard. So, what's our solution?
The point is simple. Focus on well-being of your fellow human beings, as well as your own.
If it is really a dog-eat-dog world, then that's the OPPOSITE of a civilisation. Then let's openly evade taxes and ignore the constitution in the pursuit of power. No.
Sensitive hona hai, towards the problem. Bas.
