Tips/Questions regarding house hunting in Bangalore

I will be moving to Bangalore in the coming June/July. Need to look for a flat to rent in the Whitefield area. Some questions regarding the same: 1. What would be the approximate cost to rent a 2/3 bhk in sharing in the Whitefield area. 2. How many months before moving should I ideally start looking for a flat. 3. Any hacks to ease the process of house hunting?

Greetings, As the headline says I will be moving to Banglore for the first time next week. Finding accommodation here is a real adventure (Not a good one) from what I read and seen. I wanted advice from people who are already there. what is best the way to go about it? I have been using MagicBricks and Flat & Flatmates to search near Salarpuria Softzone, Bellandur area but have not been able to find anything good. Is it hard to find one without a broker also how do you find a broker in the first place? Friends have suggested joining Facebook groups which I am going to try next. I am also contemplating whether living in a PG or a Flat is a better option. For a flat, I would need flatmates which I currently don't have. I want my commute to be as low as possible because I heard Bangalore has godly planned road infra. My company has provided 15 day stay I will have to find it in the given time only. Please let me know how you guys found accommodation. Tips and recommendations are appreciated. If anyone is aware of any empty flat please mention the property name/address. If anyone has stayed in a PG with not too bad food please mention it. Thanks.

Moving to BLR in Dec for work. Office is in MG Road. I want my commute time to be 30-40 minutes max (in metro). Q1) What places should I look for renting a studio/1bhk at around 15k-18k rent? Q2) What should budget be for fully furnished? Q3) Any broker or homeowner reccos? Thanks in advance! 🙏🏼

Hi there, TLDR; Please guide experienced gv folks how do you search and go about looking for place to stay in a new city and what things to keep in mind? I am trying for opportunities outside my current location. I have no idea about searching independently for a place to stay whilst first time in a city.Also till date since start of my job I found place to stay with my friends or college peers who were in nearby locations luckily.Include the 2-3 years of COVID wfh also so didn't get chance to relocate outside. But now since I am out of touch with many and also don't want to depend on others as they might have other commitments and couldn't be there everytime.I want to be able to find a place on my own. I’m looking for a 1/2BHK in a society near HSR. The ones around Sarjapur Road and HSR are super expensive, while ones towards Electronic City are comparatively cheaper. Do you prefer paying a higher rent to compromise on travel time, or compromise on travel and stay in a better flat at the same price.
