Sales and BA require very different skillsets. It really depends on what you like.  
  
 Having said that if u start as BA its like starting all over again. Next company will evaluate only past 1yr experience and sales experience may not add much to BA job experience. If you have been a glorified telecaller at Byjus then definitely go for BA.

Business Analyst Experience : 1 yr

I also had an offer from another B2B listed startup at 15 LPA, but I chose the 12 LPA offer because it is in B2C.

On going through YouTube, most of the folks talking about data analytics it's not relevant to business analyst.

I took up a job as an operations analyst at a series b funded startup. Worked on internal tools + gsheets + SQL(basic select queries). Became expert of this internal tool but realised the skill and knowledge isn’t transferable. 

Got promoted to project analyst within a year and started handling internal teams + client comm. gave 1 year to this position. Currently at 8LPA

Seeking advice on a potential job switch and compensation. I am currently employed as a Lead Business Analyst(Total Exp:6 Years) at a US-based edtech company with a fixed CTC of 25 LPA. My skill set includes Tableau, SQL, Python, Automations, Statistical Analysis, and Stakeholder Management. Lately, I've noticed a lack of substantial job calls, and the few I've received are capped at ~27 LPA. Some recruiters even claim that I'm already in a higher salary band, which I believe might not be accurate. They were layoffs at my current firm and they are acting very stringent about timings, travelling in Bangalore traffic is a big dealbreaker in itself, but there’s an appraisal cycle coming (with no hopes of a solid appraisal but I might get promoted and I also like the work and team at current firm)
