UX of GV

Is there anyone who is interested to get the actual numbers of Hood, or want to do their app review and want to get the actual data. I am here just let me know.

Just curious, how did GV start acquiring users? What were your primary channels? What worked, what didn't? Trying to implement an idea in a different space, insights would help.

We have spent almost 💵 Rs 2 crore+ on Facebook Ads for generating app downloads ⬇️ and successfully generated 🙃 100k+ download for our app but TBH we have 0 DAU as of now.

It hasn't been a long time since I joined, but up until a few days ago, when I used to refresh GV, I rarely used to find any new posts. Lately, I always find a new post? Seems like GV is growing 💜

I am just curious how GV team landed at the current UX after making all those changes - masking identity in feed, smaller font, more empty spaces, removing insights on comment, notifications. Was this to make it consistent with web design? Any significant changes in output metrics?

When I read GV, I find interesting posts but often there are not enough comments on it. I recently found out that you can "follow" posts. Please give this feature more prominence (or at least test it out) so that people can keep following interesting discussions. It will help with your engagement metrics as well when people come back from Push Notifications.

I often mistake the field on top which is to create a post for a search bar - since generally search components also follow a similar design style. Given there is already a floating CTA at the bottom for creating a post - isn't this component redundant (and potentially adding to ux issue?). Do any of you also face this issue of mistaking this field for seaech?

Is there any particular reason to open a page in browser drawer for a logged in user?
